Receive comprehensive instruction in musicianship and pedagogy, so you can share your love of music with others by learning to teach instrumental, choral and classroom music to students in grades PK-12. Prepare to perform in an opera, musical, recording studio, orchestra, band, chorus, chamber ensemble or as a soloist. Our program will help you refine your abilities in music performance to begin working or pursuing graduate studies after graduation. You will have a multitude of individual and group performance opportunities including solo competitions, workshops, masterclasses, and national and international travel with our ensembles.

The physical science major meets the needs of the teaching profession, with a flexible curriculum that includes teaching-related experiential learning opportunities. This major not only services students wishing to enter the teaching profession, but also can accommodate students who want high-quality training in physics and mathematics, or who are considering a career in health care, the legal profession or other science areas.

As a UD Dietetics major, you'll thrive in an environment where hands-on learning, professionalism, leadership, and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. Students are mentored and taught by faculty who are registered and licensed dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) to support your growth and development, both in and out of the classroom.

The transdisciplinary early childhood education (ECE) graduate program is a cohort program designed for individuals who seek to work with young children and their families. The degree also includes courses focusing on very young children with special needs.

Economics is a social science and as such an important component of the liberal arts curriculum. It provides a useful background for students interested in careers in public policy, business or finance.

Students who study economics investigate the allocation of scarce resources. The foundation of economics is based on theories of how people, institutions and governments make choices and interact. Some of the topics that a student of economics studies are: pricing, the effects of taxing and regulation by the government, inflation, income distribution and international trade.

Because Economics straddles the worlds of business and social science, the demand for economics majors is strong in both the public and private sector. Economics is also great preparation for graduate school in fields as diverse as business, law, and public policy.

Environmental geosciences tackle society’s most important environmental problems – climate change, energy resources, pollution and hazards – through a detailed and integrated study of major components of the Earth system: atmosphere, hydrosphere and the solid Earth.
