The Master of Music is an advanced professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization. The university offers the M.M. with the following emphases:

• Performance in woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instruments, piano, and voice;
• Music education;

Emphasis - Choral Conducting
The M.M. degree with an emphasis in choral conducting is designed to give the student advanced training in choral conducting and score study and/or prepares him/her for study at the doctoral level.

The Bachelor of Music curriculum prepares students to become professional musicians or vocalists, to teach music at the K-12 levels, or for graduate or professional school. Students select a concentration in instrumental, keyboard, or vocal training.

The B.M. in music is offered for students seeking a university education that includes preparation for careers in music teaching or performance. The B.M. degree is available in the following emphases: music performance and music education.

The B.M. in music with emphasis in music performance prepares students to become professional musicians (performing as woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrumentalists, pianists or vocalists) and/or for graduate or professional school. This emphasis can be completed with a concentration (option) in piano, instrumental, or vocal as principal instrument.

The Master of Taxation & Data Analytics program offers specialization in both taxation and data analytics. Students in this program are given many opportunities to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and the latest relevant technologies. The program includes five accountancy and taxation courses, three data analytics courses, one taxation elective, and one accountancy elective.

The performance emphasis can be completed with a concentration (option) in either piano, vocal, or instrumental.

The M.A. in mathematics is designed (1) to prepare students for the teaching of mathematics, particularly in high schools and community colleges, (2) to prepare students for nonteaching professions or vocations, such as civil service, actuarial work, or statistical work, in which mathematics plays a principal part, or (3) for students who wish to supplement study in other fields with suitable courses in mathematics.

Marketing is a creative, fast-paced industry. Our faculty will help you get inside the mind of prospective customers so you’ll know how to promote, develop, and sell products to them. Remember, without a plan, there is no sale!

The master’s graduate program in the School of Journalism and New Media offers three tracks: academic, professional, and Integrated Marketing Communications.

M.A. students without academic or professional background in journalism may be required to pursue a course of study that combines undergraduate and graduate journalism courses.
