The M.M. degree with an emphasis in ethnomusicology is an advanced professional degree designed to give the student a broad research background while also providing a 24-credit specialization. A thesis is required.

The General Business curriculum includes the core business subjects, an internship or study abroad opportunity, and a minor from another discipline outside the business school. The M.S. in exercise science prepares students for careers in fitness and allied health and research. The degree also prepares students for advanced study at the doctoral (Ph.D.) level.

University of Mississippi French majors study the language, linguistics, literature, history and culture of the French-speaking world. They gain the cultural awareness and intellectual strategies necessary to successfully navigate the interconnected and multicultural world in which we live.

Emphasis - Electrical Engineering
An M.S. in engineering science with emphasis in electrical engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work.

The B.S. in chemical engineering provides the student with a fundamental knowledge of chemical engineering science and prepares graduates for a variety of careers in industry and government, or for advanced study in engineering, business, or professional school.

A M.S. in engineering science with emphasis in environmental engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work. Students can concentrate in any of the following specialty areas: water resources, watershed systems, hydrology, surface water quality, stormwater, wastewater, solid waste, air pollution, groundwater modeling and remediation, and remote sensing and geospatial technologies. Students entering the program come from a variety of engineering and nonengineering disciplines, such as geology, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.

The B.S. in communication sciences and disorders is a preprofessional degree that prepares students to pursue a graduate degree in communication sciences and disorders. The graduate degree is required for work in the field of communication sciences and disorders (speech- language pathology and audiology).

Study the nature and development of our communication abilities and learn about disorders involving impairments in hearing, speech, voice, resonance, fluency, swallowing, and language processes

Students are introduced to anatomy and physiology of speech and hearing mechanisms; phonology; human development; disorders in fluency, voice, articulation, expressive and receptive language and learning and the programs and methods used to treat these disorders.
