Sculpture
Sculpture introduces students to a wide range of technical procedures and provides the means for exploration in both experimental and traditional media. The facilities, designed with extensive safety features, include an undergraduate studio, a complete foundry, a welding and metal fabrication shop, an outdoor work pad, a full wood shop, mold making room, state of the art digital imaging facilities, and experimental presentation space.

Develop a deeper understanding of the living world with the BS in Biological Sciences program at the University at Albany. You will gain the scientific background needed to succeed in a wide variety of careers including the medical, dental, veterinary, optometry and podiatry fields.

The course sequence in biology, chemistry, physics and math provides you with a broad foundation to build upon specialized areas of knowledge. Public Policy
If you're interested in public policy we have two main concentrations and a set of substantive concentrations in specific policy areas (e.g., health policy; education policy; criminal justice policy; women and public policy, global affairs, etc) that you might choose to design with the assistance of your advisor.

If you're interested in more applied quantitative or qualitative skills in conducting policy analysis, we recommend the Policy Analytic Methods concentration.

If you have an interest in the policy process and politics (i.e., drafting legislation, political advocacy/strategy, lobbying, etc), we recommend the Policy Process, Politics and Institutions concentration.

Learn how to analyze and report on policy issues, and how to manage information resources in the public and not-for-profit sectors.

To develop specialized skills, you can earn sub-concentrations by taking multiple courses in one or two sub-fields:
Policy Analysis

Policy Process, Politics and Institutions

After graduation, Latin studies students often pursue careers in public service, media broadcasting, community development, foreign affairs, citizenship and immigration, and international business.

The LACS undergraduate program provides a unique education that prepares you to explore the major forces that shape and transform the lives and experiences of the people and communities throughout the Americas. 

You will have the unequalled opportunity to study how events and transformations in Latin America and the Caribbean influence the formation and development of Latinx communities of the United States, in areas including:

Global Politics
Learn about current changes in the world and the comparative study of political systems. Course topics include civil-military relations, political economy, gender and LGBTQ rights, human rights, political violence and terrorism, contentious politics, foreign policy, regional integration, nationalism, ethnicity and international relations, international conflict and security, international regimes, WMD, and economic statecraft. Focus in areas such as Latin America, Southeast Asia, Europe, Israel-Palestine and China.
