Regulation and Public Finance
Are you focusing your studies on finance? Try learning more about regulations. In this concentration you will explore the important links between regulations and public finances for public (government/non-profit) and private organizations. Concentration courses include Micro and macroeconomics, Broker-dealer Accounting, Regulation, and Auditing.

Human Services: Health, Education, and Labor
This concentration is ideal if you're interested in health and education policy.  Courses and topics in this concentration include genetic makeup, primary and secondary education policy and management, peer-education, and learning. Heavily influenced by the courses from psychology, education, and sociology, this concentration offers depth and breadth of content.

Information Technology Management
This concentration prepares you for decision making roles related to the creation, management and use of information and information technologies as essential tools for problem solving and public management within single organizations and across multiple organizations, sectors, and levels of government.

Accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, the two-year MPH program includes professional internships that let you directly contribute to the success of public programs that aim to eradicate disease, develop vaccines, reduce infant mortality, ensure food safety, monitor water quality, and more.

Biomedical Sciences
Study the molecular basis of disease and implications for public health programs. Master laboratory methods and apply your biomedical sciences knowledge to detect, treat, and prevent genetic and infectious human diseases.

Courses in this concentration focus on the development and operation of the legal system, the work of the branches of government and the interactions of these political institutions with the public. You will learn to consider how laws are constructed and implemented, how they affect ordinary citizens, and the impact they have on public policy debates and political change.

Become proficient in the methodologies and technologies involved in remote sensing, spatial analysis, and geographic data mapping in the master’s in geographic information science program at the University at Albany.
