The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program is a combined major and minor sequence. You can follow one of three tracks:

• General Chemistry
• Chemical Biology
• Forensic Chemistry

Each of these tracks features an honors program option. The chemistry curricula is designed according to American Chemical Society standards, which means you'll study two semesters of General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry, along with formal laboratory experience.

The interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Management at UAlbany will give you a broad understanding of the relationships between government legislation, public policy, economics, politics, civil rights, regulation and finance, and city, state, federal, and global affairs.

The program includes foundational coursework and electives in management and politics, and quantitative methods and policy. Then you get to earn a concentration in the area of study that best matches your personal interests and career goals.

Law and Civil Rights
Law and policy go hand in hand. This concentration prepares future lawyers and policy makers. By pursuing studies in this area, you will learn how policy impacts civil rights and how civil rights movements influence laws and public policy.

With its solid foundation in computer science theory and practice, the Master of Science in Computer Science program at the University at Albany is an excellent preparation for a career in computer systems design, software engineering, and applications of computers, or for pursuing a doctorate degree.

Environmental Health
Deepen your knowledge of two relevant scientific fields (choose from chemistry, toxicology, and environmental and occupational health) and learn how to assess environmental quality and solve environmental health problems. The undergraduate social welfare program at UAlbany teaches you how to advance social, economic and environmental justice and to serve people who are vulnerable, marginalized, and oppressed. You will gain firsthand experience working with individuals, families, groups, organizations and/or communities to create change and improve social conditions.
