Environmental Health Science
Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. This includes preventing illness by identifying and assessing hazardous agents, environmental sources and limiting exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments that may impact human health. Environmental health professionals work to ensure safe water, food, air quality and workplace conditions, mitigate the impact of disasters and investigate and help control disease outbreaks. The Business Fellows program provides a unique opportunity to blend a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with other areas of study. The flexibility of the degree plan gives students the opportunity to pick up another major within the business school, a minor or major in a different school of study, or study abroad. Business Fellows students build their own major, and along with it, their own career path. Each student is assigned a faculty adviser who helps the student map out their post-graduation goals and plans, whether it's a specific career or graduate school.

The General Family & Consumer Sciences (GFCS) program at Baylor University focuses on issues that affect individuals, families and communities. Discussion involves issues that relate to the basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and relationships. Students in this major study different populations as they encounter the challenges of living and working in a global society.

Other possibilities for students graduating with an Economics degree include taking a position as a product risk analyst or risk and control advisor. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics is ideal for students wishing to attend graduate or law school while the Bachelor of Science in Economics is ideal for those wishing to work in the medical or scientific field.

Education - Middle Grade Social Studies
The Middle Grades Education Program is ideal for students who are eager to work with growing minds and daily changes. When teaching middle grades students, who are discovering who they are and what they want to do with their lives, there is rarely a dull moment in the classroom. The program prepares highly qualified teachers that will earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with a specific subject in 4-8 certification. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

Astronomy
Astronomy is the study of the universe and all the bodies within it. It examines origins of the universe, stars and planets as well as how they move and evolve in space. Since scientists are rarely able to physically examine many objects in space, astronomy is mostly an observational science. Math, physics, chemistry and geology contribute to astronomy and help inform our understanding of the universe. Astronomy also relies on a variety of instruments, tools, and computer software for analysis and gathering data. Available courses include:

The Child and Family Studies (CFS) program at Baylor University focuses on the development of individuals and families as they grow and change. Students in this major study the dynamics of the life span (prenatal through late adulthood). This program offers four concentrations specializing in a content area, including:
