Theatre Design and Technology
The Theatre Design and Technology major is ideal for students who wish to pursue careers in set design, costume design, lighting design, or technical design. Students work with the Theatre Arts production crews and can select a focus within the design categories, which can help them build their portfolio throughout their time at Baylor. Courses available include:

Geology
Geology is the science that deals with the Earth's physical structure and substance, its history and the processes that act on it. The Geology major focuses on a wide variety of topics that include materials of the Earth (minerals and rocks) and processes that affect them, as well as the evolution of life and its relationship to Earth materials and processes. These processes can include the formation of rocks, mountains and volcanoes, wind and water.Geologists utilize chemistry, biology and physics to investigate environmental issues, hydrocarbon accumulations, natural hazards, water quality and availability, ores and valuable minerals and natural disasters. The Economics major is offered in three different degree programs, as a Bachelor of Business Administration (designated as a pre-major), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), or a Bachelor of Science (BS). Each degree program is a slightly different variation of the core curriculum based on the degree requirement differences between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School. Available courses include:

• Economics of Poverty and Discrimination
• Law and Economics
• International Economics

Choosing an Economics major in the Business School (BBA) provides the opportunity to take classes targeted toward four different career positions: consultant, public agency analyst, international economist or corporate business economist. Other possibilities for students graduating with an Economics degree include taking a position as a product risk analyst or risk and control advisor. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics is ideal for students wishing to attend graduate or law school while the Bachelor of Science in Economics is ideal for those wishing to work in the medical or scientific field.

Geophysics
A very quantitative track in Geology is called Geophysics, and this degree combines the study of geology with math and physics. The Geophysics major focuses on the structure of the Earth using seismic waves, and these students are highly sought after by petroleum companies. Students choose one of three concentrations: Environmental Geophysics, Earthquake Geophysics and Petroleum Exploration Geophysics. Available courses include:

Applied Music
The music major is for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and not afraid to challenge musical conventions. The department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in computer science. One of the strengths of the computer science program is the balance between theory and practice. Students are well versed in theory and programming while at the same time being exposed to real world situations thereby gaining valuable experience. Available courses include:

Students graduating with a BSCS in Computer Science are schooled in upper-level computer science topics with a solid foundation in mathematics and the sciences. Within the BSCS degree, students select a general computer science or software engineering track. The software engineering track emphasizes the methods used to produce and maintain high-quality software in a systematic, controlled and efficient manner. Students who are acquiring their BA in computer science acquire a traditional liberal arts education with a solid set of core computer science courses.

The Supply Chain Management major (designated as a pre-major) prepares students to manage activities involved in the creation of goods and services. Students develop the ability to apply problem-solving tools related to productivity improvement, quality control, production scheduling, and materials management.  They are also able to present an integrated top-management view of the entire operations function. Courses help students prepare for professional certifications in Supply Management (CPSM) and Project Management (PMP).  Available courses include:

All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into a music degree program. Students may pursue either a BM or BA in Church Music.
The Church Music major in the Bachelor of Music (BM) program at Baylor allows students to concentrate on one of three different emphases depending on their primary instrument: keyboard, instrumental or voice. The Bachelor of Arts program is designed in the liberal arts tradition and is a good fit for students who want a church music degree and who want to take additional courses outside of their major course of study.
