Geology is the science that deals with the Earth's physical structure and substance, its history and the processes that act on it. The Geology major focuses on a wide variety of topics that include materials of the Earth (minerals and rocks) and processes that affect them, as well as the evolution of life and its relationship to Earth materials and processes. These processes can include the formation of rocks, mountains and volcanoes, wind and water.Geologists utilize chemistry, biology and physics to investigate environmental issues, hydrocarbon accumulations, natural hazards, water quality and availability, ores and valuable minerals and natural disasters. Economics
The Economics major is offered in three different degree programs, as a Bachelor of Business Administration (designated as a pre-major), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), or a Bachelor of Science (BS). Each degree program is a slightly different variation of the core curriculum based on the degree requirement differences between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School. Choosing an Economics major in the Business School (BBA) provides the opportunity to take classes targeted toward four different career positions: consultant, public agency analyst, international economist or corporate business economist. Other possibilities for students graduating with an Economics degree include taking a position as a product risk analyst or risk and control advisor. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics is ideal for students wishing to attend graduate or law school while the Bachelor of Science in Economics is ideal for those wishing to work in the medical or scientific field.

Religion
The Religion major at Baylor is a combination of Biblical, historical and theological studies. The Composition major trains students to be composers and versatile musicians. It is designed to help young composers develop/find their style/voice and compose out of educated intentionality. Studio Art
Today’s ever expanding visual world is in increasing need of educated, visually trained professionals, whether as designers, teachers, artists, museum professionals, consultants, or for the many other professions that require creativity, visual acuity, and problem solving skills.

To meet these increasing needs the Baylor University Department of Art offers students both a BA or BFA (the professional undergraduate degree) in Studio Art with separate concentrations in seven area:

The Business for Secondary Education major (designated as a pre-major) is a Bachelor of Business Administration degree designed for students planning to teach business courses at the high school level. Coursework is a combination of the fundamentals of business and education courses.

The General Family & Consumer Sciences (GFCS) program at Baylor University focuses on issues that affect individuals, families and communities. Discussion involves issues that relate to the basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and relationships. Greek program is in the Classics Department. Students with a Greek major study texts taught in their original language, grammar and Greek culture.
