The Economics major is offered in three different degree programs, as a Bachelor of Business Administration (designated as a pre-major), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), or a Bachelor of Science (BS). Each degree program is a slightly different variation of the core curriculum based on the degree requirement differences between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School. Choosing an Economics major in the Business School (BBA) provides the opportunity to take classes targeted toward four different career positions: consultant, public agency analyst, international economist or corporate business economist. Other possibilities for students graduating with an Economics degree include taking a position as a product risk analyst or risk and control advisor. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics is ideal for students wishing to attend graduate or law school while the Bachelor of Science in Economics is ideal for those wishing to work in the medical or scientific field.

Education - Secondary Social Studies
The Secondary Education program prepares students to work in grades 7-12. Graduates of the Secondary Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in one subject area (listed below). Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. It includes the physical properties of space objects (like planets, starts, galaxies and comets) as well as their interactions. Astrophysics includes many other disciplines from physics, such as electromagnetism, relativity, mechanics, and atomic and molecular physics. The Astrophysics major is offered as either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Available courses include:

• Intermediate Electricity and Magnetism
• Introduction to Modern Cosmology

Mathematics
The Mathematics major involves a variety of mathematical areas, both traditional and contemporary. Geology
Geology is the science that deals with the Earth's physical structure and substance, its history and the processes that act on it. The Geology major focuses on a wide variety of topics that include materials of the Earth (minerals and rocks) and processes that affect them, as well as the evolution of life and its relationship to Earth materials and processes. These processes can include the formation of rocks, mountains and volcanoes, wind and water.Geologists utilize chemistry, biology and physics to investigate environmental issues, hydrocarbon accumulations, natural hazards, water quality and availability, ores and valuable minerals and natural disasters. Supply Chain Management
The Supply Chain Management major (designated as a pre-major) prepares students to manage activities involved in the creation of goods and services. Students develop the ability to apply problem-solving tools related to productivity improvement, quality control, production scheduling, and materials management.  They are also able to present an integrated top-management view of the entire operations function. Courses help students prepare for professional certifications in Supply Management (CPSM) and Project Management (PMP).  Available courses include:

There is a wide choice of career options for graduates. Education - Special Education
The Special Education major prepares candidates to teach students to teach students with exceptional learning needs, from early childhood through 12th grade. Field experiences focus on students with varying levels of disability, ranging from mild to severe. The Special Education major offers two different undergraduate certificate options.

The first is an All-Level Special Education degree plan which prepares participants to only teach students with exceptional learning needs. These students range from early childhood through 12th grade.

The Special Education Supplemental plan prepares participants to teach general education to students ranging from early childhood through sixth grade. The second plan also prepares participants to teach students with exceptional learning needs. These students spend the majority of the school day in a general classroom.

The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. The Accounting major prepares students for careers in accounting, auditing, budgeting, computer systems, financial management and taxation. Courses include:

• Personal and Business Tax Planning
• Not-for-profit and Governmental Accounting
• Fraud Examination
• International Taxation

Music
The music major is for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and not afraid to challenge musical conventions. The major is in the liberal arts tradition.  It is a good fit for students who want a music degree, but also want to take extra courses outside their major course of study. The Church Music program at Baylor University is designed for students desiring to take their passion for music and utilize it in a church setting. The Church Music major is available in the Bachelor of Music (BM) degree or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into a music degree program. Students may pursue either a BM or BA in Church Music.
