Slavic and East European Studies
Slavic and East European Studies surveys countries that make-up more than one-fifth of the global landmass and are collectively home to more than 300 million people. Coursework includes studies of the Slavic culture, politics and history. It is paired with intensive studies of the Russian language. Available courses include:

• Traditional Music and Culture in Europe
• Russian Literature
• Russian Drama

Social Work
The Social Work program (designated as a pre-major) is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. At the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, students learn about human dignity and the need for justice. They also learn about caring as the foundation for effective change and service that transforms lives and communities. Social Work is a profession that prepares practitioners to empower individuals. It also prepares them to advocate for social justice in organizations and communities. Coursework combines a thorough liberal arts education with field experience with community professionals. The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. The Accounting major prepares students for careers in accounting, auditing, budgeting, computer systems, financial management and taxation. Courses include:

• Personal and Business Tax Planning
• Not-for-profit and Governmental Accounting
• Fraud Examination
• International Taxation

Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation
Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation program is designated as a pre-major.  The program develops students' knowledge of the entrepreneurial process.  It also develops the technical tools and techniques required in various ventures. Several publications have recognized the strengths of the program with awards and recognitions.  These publications include U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine. Students may also pursue a Social Entrepreneurship Track.  Available courses include:

The program pairs with companies to provide summer and semester internships. The Hankamer School of Business offers student exchange and study abroad programs.  The program offers a few study abroad opportunities unique to the program.

Latin
The Latin major, like the Greek major, is in the Classics Department. It is a rigorous study of the Classic Greek and Roman world. The Latin major focuses on original Latin texts and their cultural impact. Upon graduation, Latin majors are able to read and write in Latin. The coursework includes discussions on philosophy, history and religion.  Available courses include:

Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. It includes the physical properties of space objects (like planets, starts, galaxies and comets) as well as their interactions. Astrophysics includes many other disciplines from physics, such as electromagnetism, relativity, mechanics, and atomic and molecular physics. The Astrophysics major is offered as either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Available courses include:

• Foundations of Astronomy
• Intermediate Classical Mechanics
• Intermediate Electricity and Magnetism
• Introduction to Modern Cosmology

The BS in Astrophysics provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education, law, finance industry, and research.

Education - Secondary Business
The Business for Secondary Education major (designated as a pre-major) is a Bachelor of Business Administration degree designed for students planning to teach business courses at the high school level. Coursework is a combination of the fundamentals of business and education courses.

Supported by the Center for Professional Selling, Baylor’s Professional Selling major equips students with core skills in selling, managing and growing long-term customer relationships.

ProSales guarantees placement in paid sales internships and placement prior to graduation for career roles. By competing in sales competitions at Baylor and across the country, students gain real-world sales experiences through high-level, complex role-play scenarios. Competitions, coursework and classroom experiences are the key to 100% placement in such organizations as 3M, Oracle, Owens Corning, A.J. Gallagher and Paycom, among others.

Other concepts include behavior, interpersonal relationships and the individual and collective unconscious. Coursework involves the application of learned concepts to spheres of human activity. The Psychology major is available either as a Bachelor of Arts degree or as a Bachelor of Science degree. The Bachelor of Arts degree plan emphasizes the study of humanities in Psychology, while the Bachelor of Science degree plan has a greater emphasis in science and mathematics.
