Education - Secondary Business
The Business for Secondary Education major (designated as a pre-major) is a Bachelor of Business Administration degree designed for students planning to teach business courses at the high school level. Coursework is a combination of the fundamentals of business and education courses.

Music
The music major is for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and not afraid to challenge musical conventions. The Economics major is offered in three different degree programs, as a Bachelor of Business Administration (designated as a pre-major), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), or a Bachelor of Science (BS). Each degree program is a slightly different variation of the core curriculum based on the degree requirement differences between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School. Choosing an Economics major in the Business School (BBA) provides the opportunity to take classes targeted toward four different career positions: consultant, public agency analyst, international economist or corporate business economist. Other possibilities for students graduating with an Economics degree include taking a position as a product risk analyst or risk and control advisor. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics is ideal for students wishing to attend graduate or law school while the Bachelor of Science in Economics is ideal for those wishing to work in the medical or scientific field.

Sociology is the science that studies the social relationships of people. International Studies is an interdisciplinary major administered by the Department of Political Science. Astrophysics
Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. It includes the physical properties of space objects (like planets, starts, galaxies and comets) as well as their interactions. Astrophysics includes many other disciplines from physics, such as electromagnetism, relativity, mechanics, and atomic and molecular physics. The Astrophysics major is offered as either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Available courses include:

The BS in Astrophysics provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education, law, finance industry, and research.

Biology
The Biology major is ideal for students wanting to further their education in medicine, ecology, wildlife, genetics or a variety of other areas. The Integrative Biology degree plan introduces students to the wholeness of biology through an integrative perspective. The Global Health degree plan is designed for students with an interest in tropical diseases, their etiology and their control, and offers a wide range of career paths. The Science Education degree plan prepares students to obtain a science education certification. The Cell and Molecular Biology degree plan provides a solid foundation in cellular function and genetic control of biological processes to support exploration of disease etiology.

The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. The Accounting major prepares students for careers in accounting, auditing, budgeting, computer systems, financial management and taxation. Courses include:

• Personal and Business Tax Planning
• Not-for-profit and Governmental Accounting
• Fraud Examination
• International Taxation

Baylor's Aviation Sciences program propels you into an aviation career, whether in the skies or on the ground. The degree provides a balance of aeronautical theory and application combined with technical education. Available courses include:

• Private Pilot Flight
• Advanced Aviation Meteorology
• Aircraft Systems
• Aviation Law
• Aerodynamics

The Aviation Sciences major (Professional Pilot Concentration) is specifically designed for students wanting a career as a pilot (Airplane or Helicopter). Be aware that there are a limited number of flight slots for pilot students and so admission to the Professional Pilot Concentration is limited and competitive.
