Studio Art
Today’s ever expanding visual world is in increasing need of educated, visually trained professionals, whether as designers, teachers, artists, museum professionals, consultants, or for the many other professions that require creativity, visual acuity, and problem solving skills.

To meet these increasing needs the Baylor University Department of Art offers students both a BA or BFA (the professional undergraduate degree) in Studio Art with separate concentrations in seven area:

We offer a range of courses that deal with many of the most important issues that lawyers and jurists confront in their careers, from criminal justice, constitutional law, public policy and the courts and international law. Earth Science
The B.A. degree in Earth Science covers a broad spectrum of topics and is designed to give the Earth science major an understanding of the Earth's materials and processes. As psychology majors (designated as a pre-major), students learn about many diverse concepts including perception, cognition, emotion and personality. Other concepts include behavior, interpersonal relationships and the individual and collective unconscious. Coursework involves the application of learned concepts to spheres of human activity. Bioinformatics
Baylor's Bioinformatics undergraduate program was one of the first of its kind when it was created. The Russian language is used throughout the world and is one of the five official languages of the United Nations. Music History and Literature
The Music History and Literature major enables students to take advantage of both the professional applied music setting within the School of Music and the interdisciplinary, humanistic environment of a major research university. It is ideal for students interested in the study of diverse areas like traditions, styles and cultural contexts of Western music as well as the music of world cultures.  Areas of study include:

The Communication major is a broad study of the process of human communication. Students will learn the importance of communication context in culture, professional fields and social movements. Coursework also includes study of the influence of communication on behavior and in turn, its influence on society. There are four tracks that students may choose from in the Communication major:

• Corporate Communication
• Rhetoric and Public Discourse
• Generalist
• Honors

Students major in communication as preparation for careers in business, law, education and ministry, among others. Unique opportunities for Communication students include Lambda Pi Eta, the communication studies honor society as well as study abroad options including Baylor in London and Baylor in New York.

Geology is the science that deals with the Earth's physical structure and substance, its history and the processes that act on it. The Geology major focuses on a wide variety of topics that include materials of the Earth (minerals and rocks) and processes that affect them, as well as the evolution of life and its relationship to Earth materials and processes. These processes can include the formation of rocks, mountains and volcanoes, wind and water.Geologists utilize chemistry, biology and physics to investigate environmental issues, hydrocarbon accumulations, natural hazards, water quality and availability, ores and valuable minerals and natural disasters.
