The Mathematics major involves a variety of mathematical areas, both traditional and contemporary. Math involves learning the terms, methods and formulae and applying the mathematics to solve theoretical and practical problems. Graduates of the program are highly marketable in a range of fields because the program helps them develop problem-solving skills and trains them to think, and argue, logically.  Available courses include:

Mathematics is in the Bachelor of Science degree program as well as in the Bachelor of Arts degree program. The BS in Mathematics curriculum provides the student with a basic background in mathematics.  It allows a student to place some emphasis on an area of mathematics that is related to engineering, the biological, physical, or social sciences. The BA in Mathematics curriculum provides the student with a basic background in mathematics in the context of a liberal arts education.

The Religion major at Baylor is a combination of Biblical, historical and theological studies. Students also study cultural differences in religion around the world and are given the opportunity to select one of five concentrations.  These concentrations include Bible, Theology and Ethics, History, Practical Studies or World Religions. Accounting
The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. The Accounting major prepares students for careers in accounting, auditing, budgeting, computer systems, financial management and taxation. Courses include:

Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. The Philosophy major provides a solid foundation in the history of philosophy.  It also provides an in-depth study of specific subject areas including logic, ethics, aesthetics, epistemology, and metaphysics. This dual emphasis cultivates students' capacity for critical analysis, stimulates independent thinking and promotes sound reasoning based on knowledge, moral discrimination and religious insight. The Philosophy Department offers a Pre-Law track as well as a Medical Concentration. Church Music
The Church Music program at Baylor University is designed for students desiring to take their passion for music and utilize it in a church setting. All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into a music degree program. Students may pursue either a BM or BA in Church Music.

Greek program is in the Classics Department. Students with a Greek major study texts taught in their original language, grammar and Greek culture. Marketing
The Marketing major (designated as a pre-major) is a comprehensive study of promoting, pricing and placing a product. Marketing students can choose an emphasis in Sports, Strategy and Sales, Nonprofit and Social Enterprise Marketing or tailor their own marketing emphasis by selecting any three marketing courses beyond what is required.Available courses include:

• Strategic Brand Management
• Marketing Research

A degree in Marketing qualifies graduates for many occupations like Sales and Customer Service, Product Management, and Marketing Research. Other students find work in Advertising, Sales Promotion, Event Marketing, and Purchasing.  The marketing department works with students to place them in internships to enhance students' resumes and provide experience in the market place.

Earth Science
The B.A. degree in Earth Science covers a broad spectrum of topics and is designed to give the Earth science major an understanding of the Earth's materials and processes. Topical areas in the Earth science curriculum encompass astronomy, meteorology, oceanography, as well as geology. Available courses include:

The Earth Science major can be combined with a major in Environmental Studies for students interested in the impact humanity has on the natural environment.
