Computer engineering focuses on system, software and hardware aspects of computing, and includes programming and software engineering. Students learn about electronics, logic design, computer design and architecture, microprocessors, design automation, operating systems, and software engineering. Computer engineer's career opportunities are limitless and include working in the computer industry or with companies that integrate computers into more complex products.

Accounting is renowned as the language and basic tool of business. Every type of business, from private industry, to local, state, and federal public careers, to government, and even academia require accountants. Accountant skills are in demand and they always will be; the job opportunities that exist today are better than ever.

The School of Accounting is selective. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Students who have a high-standing in pre-business courses and/or relevant business experience are preferable to those who do not have such qualifications. Students who have been dismissed from any traditional Accounting program are not eligible for re-admission.

Environmental engineers integrate principles of engineering, mathematics, earth science, soil science, life science, and materials science with an emphasis on the design and development of solutions to environmental challenges, such as improvement of water, air pollution control, safe disposal of wastes, and the stewardship of our natural resources.

In Multimedia Studies, the BA degree sequence in FILM, VIDEO, AND NEW MEDIA attracts diverse and creative students who crave an opportunity to engage with the rapidly evolving media world. From its origins as an interdepartmental program in film studies, the program in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies is currently home to roughly ___ majors. FVNM coursework immerses students in a dynamic curriculum rooted in a liberal arts education, which emphasizes the links between media history, analysis and creative practice. Our majors study the relationships between different forms of cinema and digital media through a well-rounded sequence that spans film studies, media studies, digital film production, and computer animation. FVNM graduates are critically sophisticated, historically knowledgeable, and technologically proficient.

The research interests of accomplished scholars and creators on our faculty shape our upper-level curriculum’s coverage of commercial, independent, and experimental media, through courses in documentary, activist media, world cinema, queer media, digital cultures, interactive and web-based media, animation, and video games. Our students are encouraged to craft individual paths through rigorous scholarly work and hands-on practical training, preparing them to thrive in media-related sectors, including arts and entertainment, education, and technology.

 The Department of Exercise Science & Health Promotion (ESHP) emphasizes technology-based instruction to improve critical thinking skills necessary for health-related professions while publishing molecular and behavioral based research that informs lifestyle choices that reduce the occurrence and severity of chronic disease.

Economics has become an integral part of our modern society. An understanding of economics is indispensable when it comes to running a successful business, making sense of international events and analyzing government policy. Graduates with a background in economics enjoy a unique advantage in that economics offers a specialized and powerful framework for tackling today’s problems in the increasingly competitive and global economy.

Economics with a Business Economics concentration (ECON-EBUS): This program has the same diverse foundation in core business principles as other majors in the College, but also integrates economics courses in such a way that the student can analyze business problems with the insight that the economics discipline offers.

The Bachelor of Music: Performance concentration is designed to prepare music majors for professional performance careers, private studio teaching and/or the pursuit of further academic study.
