Environmental Chemistry Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Choose the environmental chemistry emphasis and you’ll have excellent preparation for becoming an environmental laboratory professional.

We've been doing experiential learning in the sciences since before it was cool. And with guidance from our expert faculty, you'll take advantage of rich opportunities to investigate the basis for life. We will help you prepare for a career in the life sciences: think clinical or biomedical research, or other graduate programs in the allied health professions. You'll face challenges in this program as you learn the cellular mechanisms underlying human physiology, genetics and disease.  You won't be alone. Our award-winning teachers - world-respected biomedical research scientists -  will mentor you along the way.

Learn about where our country came from to get a sense of where it’s going. Analyze traditions and social patterns, questions of power and conflict, and consider the art and literature that propelled it all.

American studies is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to examine the history, culture and society of America by combining courses taken in a variety of fields including history, political science and literature. Conduct an in-depth exploration of America’s rich past—its context will provide the landscape for our country’s future.

Forensic Science Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
You'll be well connected to alumni in the field of forensic sciences. What we teach will qualify you to work in a crime laboratory, or get a job in drug testing. Transform your passion for food and hospitality into a lifelong career. Learn about meal planning and preparation, culinary design and development, safety and service guidelines, and the business management skills to combine it all.

Master the ins and outs of the restaurant industry, from human resources to food production. Our seasoned faculty will develop both your strategic and creative skills and guide you as you explore your career options. Plus, our Christian worldview informs our approach to hospitality — learn how and why food systems management is a form of ministry.  

From this program, you can go on to culinary school, restaurant management and nonprofit management — with a firm foundation in business, since you’ll automatically earn a business minor. Between coursework, faculty mentorship and internship opportunities, you’ll be well-prepared for whatever it is you are called to do.

Now more than ever, there is a need for professionals who are just, wherever they may be.  We know you want to change the world. So we've created a program to help you build a foundation in justice so you can do exactly that. We know legal change is one of the best ways to effect social change, so we'll make sure you gain a strong understanding of America's legal system. Work with a prominent civil rights attorney in Tuskegee, Alabama. You'll visit Washington, D.C. for an introduction of American law. Learn from real-life experiences with an internship. Take a semester abroad. And later, you'll even travel to five European countries as you learn about law in the global community.
