Forensic Science Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
You'll be well connected to alumni in the field of forensic sciences. What we teach will qualify you to work in a crime laboratory, or get a job in drug testing. You'll be in an ideal situation in Nashville; one of the scientific employers here is a national industry leader in drug analysis. And with the opportunity to take electives in political science, psychology or Law, Justice and Society, this emphasis provides a well-rounded education.

Explore your creative potential by broadening your skills in various art forms. In our studio art program, you’ll be exposed to mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, videography, and printmaking. With a wide range of artistic knowledge, you’ll be prepared to influence and better the world through art.

Gain 24/7 access to our studios, meet with exhibiting artists in our on-campus John C. Our faculty have decades of experience in web technologies, security systems and more.

We'll guide you into broadening your skill in web design, web content development, client liaison, client-side/server-side scripting, in addition to web server and network security configuration.  Web development can range from developing the simplest static plain text pages to complex Web-based internet applications, electronic commerce sites and social network services. Our dedicated faculty will prepare you for admission to competitive health-related professional schools — without advanced mathematics. Many of our applied biochemistry graduates are flourishing medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists or physician assistants. Others have found success in industry or graduate study within chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or microbiology.

There's no capstone required for our biochemistry majors. But most of our students take part in undergraduate research at Lipscomb, at major research universities — or both. It's common for graduates of both of our biochemistry degrees to get into recognized research universities and medical schools across the U.S. Whatever your goals are, we'll help you get there.

French Teaching: French teaching majors have the opportunity to build language proficiency while also developing expertise in teaching language to others. With a contemporary approach to language instruction, our students learn how to give quality input in the target language (known as Comprehensible Input) and to design activities that require meaningful interaction. We believe teaching is a creative endeavor and we prepare our students for the language and practical demands of the profession.

Contribute your vision to the world. Learn the foundations and practice of animation, from character design to top-end computer graphics and 3D graphics. At Lipscomb, you'll grow your creative skills under some of the most prominent animators in the U.S., including Tom Bancroft and John Pomeroy. You’ll connect with and learn from experts in Maya software, the industry standard in computer graphics and CGI effects. You’ll even have the option of taking on opportunities in Los Angeles — our department’s Los Angeles internship program as well as a yearly trip to work at an animation studio there.
