In our Financial Markets Lab, you'll learn to use Bloomberg Terminals to analyze financial data and metrics. You'll even have a keycard to access the lab at any time.

You'll have internship and study abroad opportunities. You'll be part of the Lipscomb team that competes against other universities in the TVA Investment Challenge. You and your team will manage a portfolio of securities on TVA's behalf. Each team competing will be responsible for security selection, portfolio balancing and other fund management decisions. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Teaching is designed for students intending to pursue a career in teaching theatre at the elementary, middle school, or high school level. This degree also prepares students to pursue an advanced degree in education. At its core, the BA in Theatre Teaching provides well-rounded theatrical training mixed with superior education courses. In this degree, students take 45 hours in theatre-specific courses, including acting, directing, and design. They also take 30 hours in education courses designed to sharpen their pedagogy skills. Additionally, there are numerous mainstage opportunities in our five productions each year along with scene work, student films, and Nashville professional opportunities. All students complete student teaching at an area school before graduation.

Teaching
The mathematics department at Lipscomb University prepares you to be an excellent teacher who is both mathematically sound and pedagogically proficient. We work closely with Lipscomb’s nationally ranked College of Education to ensure that you are trained and up to date in the latest educational standards and trends. The extra hours of foreign language required for a B.A. make for a highly marketable degree due to the diversity of Davidson County and the surrounding areas.

We have a very high placement rate for employment of our graduates. Recent graduates have been recognized for excellence in teaching. Two have been named Teacher of the Year in Metro Nashville within the last five years.

Our 36-hour major allows students to finish in three years or to add the history major to their primary field of study.

Applied
The more mathematics an engineering, science, computer science or business student takes, the more jobs openings and graduate school openings are available to that student.
