The International Year is a 2-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. Management
The management major is designed to provide entry-level knowledge, skills, and concepts for general management, human resource management, health care positions, and entrepreneurship.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of management. You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge of key management theories and concepts, and will apply these Management theories and concepts correctly.

Music
Our program offers performance opportunities via a wide array of ensembles which are open to all university students, including university orchestra, symphonic and concert bands, pep band, jazz band, university singers, Camerata Isla (chamber choir), and Corpus Christi Chorale. Music majors also participate in chamber ensembles including string quartet, various woodwind and brass ensembles, percussion ensemble, guitar ensemble, and more.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of music. You’ll also understand music theory, history, literature, and culture. As part of this degree, you’ll perfect your critical thinking skills when hearing musical sounds.

Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies principles of engineering, basic science, and mathematics (including multivariate calculus and differential equations) for modeling, analysis, design, and realization of physical systems, components or processes.

The mechanical engineering curriculum prepares students to work professionally in both thermal and mechanical systems areas.

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. You’ll also be able to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. With this degree you can function effectively on a team developing and conducting appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

The MA in English program offers students an innovative curriculum, a dynamic faculty, and many opportunities for professional development. Our graduates continue into Ph.D. programs, become faculty at two year colleges, work in industry or in government service, and serve as highly successful teachers in the public schools. Our combination of a challenging curriculum and personalized attention ensures that our graduates are ready for a wide variety of careers.

The MA in English Program offers all candidates the opportunity to grow intellectually and creatively through the advanced study of language, literature, and writing.

The finance curriculum includes core courses in finance that provide students with a background in security analysis and investments, portfolio management, and financial planning and analysis. The curriculum also covers monetary policy, banking, financial markets, financial reporting, statement analysis, and risk management.

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of finance and may select finance electives in their area of interest such as insurance, real estate, accounting, or expand their knowledge in investments or financial analysis. You’ll be able to  demonstrate knowledge of key finance theories and concepts, and will apply these Finance theories and concepts correctly.

Interdisciplinary Studies
The University Studies degree at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a flexible undergraduate program that allows students to design a course of study that best fits their educational and career goals rather than follow a specific track of coursework prescribed by a major degree. The University Studies degree can be completed as a Bachelor of Science (BS). With a University Studies degree, students will graduate with a breadth of knowledge in a range of academic disciplines, preparing them for the workforce, graduate school, or fulfilling their dreams of obtaining a degree.

Art
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is designed to provide professional development at the undergraduate level in the visual arts, through in-depth study in studio art. The degree requires a minimum of 75 semester hours in art, at least 36 of which must be in upper-division coursework.

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of visual art. You’ll also be preparing for specific careers along with theories and concepts, and will apply these theories and concepts in the senior exhibition.

This is a dynamic department with students studying human relationships, analyzing film and television, creating films, practicing public relations, writing for the student newspaper, and instructing others in communication.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll be able to gather, evaluate and synthesize information to build and defend arguments. You’ll also demonstrate communication competence in dyadic, small group and presentational contexts. As part of this degree, you’ll employ discipline-specific knowledge in applied communication situations.
