The International Year is a 1-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. Biomedical Sciences
The Biomedical Sciences Program offers a degree that prepares students for professional careers related to human or animal health and safety. This program is a unique blend of course work and experiences that gives students a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences.

Philosophy
Philosophy is quite unlike any other field. It is unique both in its methods and in the nature and breadth of its subject matter. Philosophy pursues questions in every dimension of human life, and its techniques apply to problems in any field of study or endeavor. No brief definition expresses the richness and variety of philosophy. It may be described in many ways. It is a reasoned pursuit of fundamental truths, a quest for understanding, a study of principles of conduct. It seeks to establish standards of evidence, to provide rational methods of resolving conflicts, and to create techniques for evaluating ideas and arguments. Philosophy develops the capacity to see the world from the perspective of other individuals and other cultures; it enhances one's ability to perceive the relationships among the various fields of study; and it deepens one's sense of the meaning and variety of human experience.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of philosophy. You’ll be able to understand important periods, themes, movements, and figures in the history of philosophy, apply ethical theories to major social issues, analyze arguments using the principles and methods of logic, develop their own philosophical views and arguments, and evaluate responses to problems in metaphysics, epistemology, and other areas of philosophy.

As the largest department in the College of Liberal Arts, we offer undergraduate degrees in both psychology and sociology, as well as minors in Social Work and Women and Gender Studies. We also offer a master’s degree in psychology with a clinical emphasis.

An undergraduate degree from our department prepares students to work in a variety of community settings, including social service agencies, human resource departments and mental health treatment programs.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will gain a broad understanding of the theories, concepts, definitions and language of sociology. You will also cultivate an understanding of the methods of research and interpretation of research findings. With this degree you will develop selected skills applicable to careers in the public or private sector.

Spanish
The main focus of the program is to develop the student’s language proficiency and the literary, cultural, practical application, and translation competencies demanded by many professional fields. To accomplish these goals, the Spanish curriculum includes courses in general Spanish Language, Spanish for the Professions, Hispanic Linguistics, Spanish and Spanish-American Literature and Civilizations, and Translation.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will demonstrate advanced proficiency in Spanish through performance on examinations, in-class presentations, and research papers. You will also demonstrate the ability to understand, analyze, and interpret the cultural, linguistic and literary aspects of the Spanish-speaking countries through in-class presentations, examinations, and research papers. With this degree, you will be prepared to teach Spanish and/or continue their studies at the graduate level.

The finance curriculum includes core courses in finance that provide students with a background in security analysis and investments, portfolio management, and financial planning and analysis. The curriculum also covers monetary policy, banking, financial markets, financial reporting, statement analysis, and risk management.

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of finance and may select finance electives in their area of interest such as insurance, real estate, accounting, or expand their knowledge in investments or financial analysis. You’ll be able to  demonstrate knowledge of key finance theories and concepts, and will apply these Finance theories and concepts correctly.

Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies principles of engineering, basic science, and mathematics (including multivariate calculus and differential equations) for modeling, analysis, design, and realization of physical systems, components or processes.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. You’ll also be able to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. With this degree you can function effectively on a team developing and conducting appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

The Master's degree in Communication at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is designed for individuals who seek career advancement in communication positions, or who aspire to enroll in a doctoral program. Students in the Master's in Communication program can specialize in Organizational Leadership or Strategic Communication.

All three tracks consist of courses designed to enhance students' knowledge of communication principles, theories, and research in the track topic area and develop proficiency as writers, researchers, and critical decision makers. The program is designed to provide students with a quality experience that will help them grow as individuals, scholars, professionals, and citizens.

The master's degree in Communication at TAMU-CC prepares students to use theories and principles, gather and use data, and think critically to made decisions and solve real-world problem. The program aims to help students achieve their personal and professional goals by providing rich opportunities to attend academic conferences, participate in research, complete internships, and assist in teaching undergraduate courses.
