The Pre-Master's Program is a 1-semester program, designed to help international students fully prepare for entry to a graduate degree program. During your studies you will work alongside experienced faculty to discover your potential in your field.

Your program will be a combination of core, English for Academic Purposes courses, and academic courses specific to your chosen degree. These courses have been specially designed to provide international students with the academic and English language skills required to help you succeed in your graduate degree.

Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration degree will help you to develop your skills in communication and leadership so you can graduate as an effective leader, capable of responsibly leading and ethically problem-solving.

The MIS program supports students and professionals in their applied use of computers. Information systems supports a variety of business activities using computer systems; it is not intended to prepare software developers.

MIS (Management information systems) is a perfect career for a student who loves doing business and at the same time enjoys working with computers and technologies. MIS is a people-oriented field with an emphasis on meeting business needs through technology. This major explores how students can use computing technologies to create business solutions and focuses on the best way to enable the organization to meet its goals and business challenges. MIS students learn about business processes and analyze how to improve the processes using technology.

The program provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the physical characteristics, motions and processes of air; as well as the interactions of this protective layer with the underlying oceans and continents. The undergraduate program emphasizes a systems approach, combining traditional atmospheric sciences with emerging fields. In particular, the program focuses on the fields of tropical meteorology and oceanography that are directly linked to the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding coastal regions where the university is strategically located.

Within this program, you will gain critical thinking skills including, creative thinking, innovation, inquiry and analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information. You will also demonstrate communication skills including, the effective development, interpretation, and expression of ideas through written, oral, and visual communication. Grounded in our academic tradition as a Hispanic Serving Institution, the undergraduate English Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites students to engage with texts and employ language-related skills to connect with others both locally and globally.

We encourage students to explore and integrate three disciplines of English studies in their work, through the study of literature, applied linguistics, and writing. We challenge students to analyze, think critically about, and compose texts across genres, language varieties, and traditions for communities across cultural and geographic boundaries. In our courses and community events, students develop the advanced critical and creative literacies and language-related skills that prepare them for their future as active and ethical members of diverse communities.

General Business
This program of study provides a broad-based business background for those persons who are interested in a business career but do not wish to specialize in a specific functional area. The general business curriculum includes a study of various business disciplines that provides a broader competency base for those who may want to work in or to manage small businesses or selected not-for-profit organizations. This major provides a background for entry-level work in a broad range of businesses. An on campus format provides a mix of online, face-to-face, and blended courses. An online completion format provides 60 hours of online courses.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad-based understanding of business. In addition, all general business majors will demonstrate knowledge of key international business theories and concepts, and will apply these international business theories and concepts correctly.

Designed for students who want to become historians, develop academic skills to prepare for careers in public history, or archiving or prepare for PhD programs. The program will also enhance the professional development of secondary education teachers.

Learning about the past in an exciting endeavor. It also involves more than just telling stories. Professional historians use archives and the work of other scholars to develop their own understanding of the past. They research, analyze, and offer original interpretations of the past in rigorous and clearly-written work. As graduate students in history, you will do the same. The Master's degree in History is structured to introduce students to these critical tasks.

The MA in History will benefit secondary school teachers seeking to enhance their professional skills and standing. It will also benefit students planning careers in academia, public history, archival work, government, non-profit, or the professions.
