Graphic design is a creative and inspiring process that combines art and technology to communicate ideas and information visually from client to audience. Rooted in traditional art and design foundations, the focus of the graphic design curriculum is to educate and inform students of the impact design can make through the exploration of diverse problem-solving methodologies, innovative investigations, and creative research in all forms of visual communication.

Through their studio work, graphic design majors will address issues stressing social and cultural awareness, integration of new technology, and sustainable practices while being prepared to enter into the evolving creative industry.

Philosophy

Philosophy pursues questions in every dimension of human life, and its techniques apply to problems in any field of study or endeavor. No brief definition expresses the richness and variety of philosophy. It may be described in many ways. It is a reasoned pursuit of fundamental truths, a quest for understanding, a study of principles of conduct. It seeks to establish standards of evidence, to provide rational methods of resolving conflicts, and to create techniques for evaluating ideas and arguments. Philosophy develops the capacity to see the world from the perspective of other individuals and other cultures; it enhances one's ability to perceive the relationships among the various fields of study; and it deepens one's sense of the meaning and variety of human experience.

Grounded in our academic tradition as a Hispanic Serving Institution, the undergraduate English Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites students to engage with texts and employ language-related skills to connect with others both locally and globally.

We encourage students to explore and integrate three disciplines of English studies in their work, through the study of literature, applied linguistics, and writing. We challenge students to analyze, think critically about, and compose texts across genres, language varieties, and traditions for communities across cultural and geographic boundaries. In our courses and community events, students develop the advanced critical and creative literacies and language-related skills that prepare them for their future as active and ethical members of diverse communities.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will develop the advanced critical and creative literacies and language-related skills that prepare you for your future as active and ethical member of diverse communities. You will also apply critical terms and theoretical concepts and perspectives in writing and analyzing texts. With this degree you can apply effective and appropriate literary/rhetorical/linguistic methods and strategies in writing and/or in analyzing texts (spoken, written, and multimodal).

The Mays Business School offers a graduate program leading to the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). Enrollment in the Mays MBA Program and related courses is restricted to students in the classification G7 BUAD. A G6 student is not eligible to enroll in Mays MBA Program courses.

All core course enrollments are handled through the Mays MBA Program Office. Details regarding the Mays MBA Program curriculum may be obtained by contacting the MBA Program Office. The Mays MBA Program is a non-thesis degree for which a final oral examination is not required. Admission to the program is in the fall semester only. The Mays Business School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) at all program levels.

Geology
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. The mission of the geology program is to provide integrated and process-oriented curricula, based on fundamental scientific principles and processes that enable graduates to pursue challenging careers and maintain lifelong learning. In addition, our program is designed to serve majors from geographic information science, environmental science, as well as science students in other fields who are interested in adding to their knowledge of the Earth and planetary system.

Within this program, you will be provided with a broad background in the natural sciences, typically with an equal foundation in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology, in addition to the geology-specific courses.

The Master of Science in Early Childhood Education is a degree designed for individuals who are currently working with young children or are desiring to work with young children in an educational setting. Courses are structured to increase the educator’s knowledge of young children and the ensuing implications for programs and curricula.

Teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators will improve their competence in designing curriculum, classrooms, centers, and classroom experiences for young children. Students will also improve their skills in evaluating instruction based on children’s needs, and develop techniques to appropriately evaluate young children’s learning.

Through the Master's in Early Childhood Education, teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators develop advanced expertise in designing curricula, classrooms, and experiences for young children. General Business
This program of study provides a broad-based business background for those persons who are interested in a business career but do not wish to specialize in a specific functional area. The general business curriculum includes a study of various business disciplines that provides a broader competency base for those who may want to work in or to manage small businesses or selected not-for-profit organizations. This major provides a background for entry-level work in a broad range of businesses. An on campus format provides a mix of online, face-to-face, and blended courses. An online completion format provides 60 hours of online courses.

Psychology
Psychology students at TAMUCC receive an excellent and intellectually exciting education in psychology as a science. Our faculty members represent many of the varied fields of contemporary psychology, including developmental psychology, social psychology, experimental psychology, personality psychology, and clinical psychology.

Our undergraduate Bachelor of Arts program is designed to provide the psychology major with a broadly-based education in the discipline. For those who are interested, opportunities exist within the department to conduct research under the supervision of our faculty.

You will understand and apply research methods in psychology, including research design, data analysis, and interpretation.
