The Master of Science in Early Childhood Education is a degree designed for individuals who are currently working with young children or are desiring to work with young children in an educational setting. Courses are structured to increase the educator’s knowledge of young children and the ensuing implications for programs and curricula.

Teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators will improve their competence in designing curriculum, classrooms, centers, and classroom experiences for young children. Students will also improve their skills in evaluating instruction based on children’s needs, and develop techniques to appropriately evaluate young children’s learning.

Through the Master's in Early Childhood Education, teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators develop advanced expertise in designing curricula, classrooms, and experiences for young children. Biomedical Sciences
The Biomedical Sciences Program offers a degree that prepares students for professional careers related to human or animal health and safety. This program is a unique blend of course work and experiences that gives students a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences.

The Master of Fine Arts degree is a comprehensive three-year program designed to guide Candidates toward expertise in studio art and design practices, aesthetics, and scholarly inquiry while expanding proficiency in art history, criticism, and theory. In addition, Candidates have opportunities to acquire experience in classroom instruction and pedagogy, professional development, and gallery practices.

The student who wishes to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry may do so by following one of the four curriculum plans referred to as Concentrations. The options include general, environmental, biochemistry, and physical science education concentrations. Students who are pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, or pre-veterinary medicine may follow the biochemistry concentration. In addition, the biochemistry concentration offers an option which would allow students to pursue certification in clinical chemistry while obtaining their Bachelors in Chemistry.

Sociology
As the largest department in the College of Liberal Arts, we offer undergraduate degrees in both psychology and sociology, as well as minors in Social Work and Women and Gender Studies. We also offer a master’s degree in psychology with a clinical emphasis.

Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies principles of engineering, basic science, and mathematics (including multivariate calculus and differential equations) for modeling, analysis, design, and realization of physical systems, components or processes.

Psychology students at TAMUCC receive an excellent and intellectually exciting education in psychology as a science. The curriculum for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is designed to provide professional development at the undergraduate level in the visual arts, through in-depth study in studio art. The degree requires a minimum of 75 semester hours in art, at least 36 of which must be in upper-division coursework.
