Computer Science and Engineering
The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program provides a solid foundation in computer engineering combined with a strong groundwork in software design and development. Our program will give you a thorough understanding of how software is synthesized with hardware, giving you a complete understanding of how a computer works. This strong foundation prepares you to address any computing system challenge across the software-hardware spectrum. In addition, our expert faculty support you with one-on-one instruction and academic advising.

International Studies
At UHart, the world can be your classroom! Seventy-five percent of our international studies student study abroad for a semester, a year, or during our Winterterm or Summerterm.

You can concentrate in either global security or global development, and consider a double major in politics and government, economics, or modern languages and cultures.

If you are interested in a careers in government, business, education, the nonprofit sector, or certain areas of law, the international studies program gives you a solid foundation. It also is appropriate to prepare for graduate studies in a variety of fields.

Instrumental Performance - Flute
To enrich pedagogy skills, the Hartt flute studio uses a mentoring system that pairs an undergraduate student with a graduate flutist.  They meet together for a minimum of two hours a week to work in duets, resolve any problems revealed in Techniques Class, and for the chance to do research and get feedback from a partner. This gives the graduate students a chance to develop and refine their teaching techniques before leaving school, while the undergraduates benefit from the additional “one-on-one” help in between lessons and get to know fellow flute students more quickly.

Robotics Engineering
This program will prepare you to fulfill the growing and expected demands for entry-level careers in robotics. Dive into a hands-on experience around robotics principals, designs, and operation. Students in this program will especially benefit from the laboratories in CETA, including two new robotics labs.

Robotics is the discipline that combines computer, electrical, mechanical, sensing, and computer science in real time. It plays a role in nearly every aspect of our lives, and we can see its applications in automation, manufacturing, the defense industry, commerce—like Amazon—and the healthcare industry to mention a few.

Music Management
When you decide to major in music management, you have the desire to pursue a strong musical and business course of study.  Playing a musical instrument or being a vocalist is required for entrance to the program. This can include classical instruments or classical voice, jazz instruments or voice, or commercial instruments (bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, or voice.)  

You will receive training in music theory, piano and keyboard, and music history, as well as weekly one hour lessons and coaching sessions with teachers in the performance area.  This combined with arts management and business courses give you the career ready skills to enter the industry.

Not only will you participate in music management events, but you also have the opportunity to participate in many of the large ensembles that make up Hartt’s music training program.

Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology
Explore the technical side of engineering through the CEET program. Expand your skills through and design the program for your goals and interest through various coursework and five technical specialty electives. With this flexibility, you have the choice to advance programming skills or expand knowledge in areas like data acquisition and automated systems. You will also be trained to use industry-standard technology and software, to be well-prepared to start working full time after completing the program.

A diverse range of courses in the humanities and sciences are geared toward developing the student's intellectual skills by emphasizing written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and the importance of being an informed, socially responsible citizen of the world.

Health Sciences - Pre-Professional

The pre-professional track of the health sciences program prepares you for professional graduate study in fields such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, physician assistant, or pharmacy. You can pursue the degree on a full- or part-time basis, and you can enter the program as a freshman or a transfer student.The pre-professional track of the health sciences program prepares you for professional graduate study in fields such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, physician assistant, or pharmacy. You can pursue the degree on a full- or part-time basis, and you can enter the program as a freshman or a transfer student.for professional or graduate study in a range of health-related fields such as occupational therapy, speech pathology, or public health. The program combines a strong science foundation with a variety of electives that allow you to explore different health-related topics. If you’re interested in a career in health care but aren’t sure which area to pursue, the Health Sciences program may be a good fit for you. Health Sciences is also available as a minor.

Our health sciences program grounds you in the liberal arts with a firm foundation in the sciences, while providing a broad overview of the health care system. By majoring in health sciences, you can prepare for future study in a wide range of health care careers.

Although this is a non-clinical program, it will prepare you for graduate programs in fields such as medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, optometry, chiropractic, pharmacy, or podiatry.
