Tiffin University began offering a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program in 2014. This program will help students build a solid foundation of the scientific principles underlying modern exercise physiology. The curriculum will enable students to develop the acquisition of knowledge and skills that facilitate opportunities to successfully pursue careers within the rapidly growing domain of exercise science.

The exercise science program is structured to provide students with a solid foundation for understanding how and why humans move. This interdisciplinary program includes courses from the fields of biology, chemistry and exercise physiology. Through this program, students will understand the essential role of physical activity and exercise in the prevention, treatment and recovery from a variety of disease conditions. Upon the successful completion of the required course work, students can either seek employment in various areas of allied health fields or apply to graduate school in the sciences and health professions.

Are you interested in helping adults or kids who are criminal offenders, victims, people with mental health problems or physical and intellectual disabilities? Would you rather be involved with criminal investigations? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our forensic psychology program is for you. You’ll examine the relationship between psychology and the criminal justice system by taking courses in criminal justice, forensic psychology, psychology and sociology. The Human Resource concentration enables the student to integrate the knowledge and skills gained from the core coursework in the MBA program in order to address the issues and challenges faced by today’s human resource management professional. Students will benefit from exposure to theories and applications involved in acquiring and developing talented employees, managing the ongoing employer/employee relationship and providing competitive advantages through strategic human resource policies and practices. People likely to be interested in the Human Resource Management concentration include mid-level HR professionals and managers who wish to advance in their professions and become strategic leaders in their organizations.

The Forensic Science program is structured for a student to learn scientific principles and methods, applied to assist criminal and civil investigations and litigations. This program places an emphasis on the interdisciplinary disciplines of chemistry, biology and law. Students are educated on the role of forensic scientists in the criminal justice system and how scientific evidence can be used in that system. Students will earn a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science upon the successful completion of the required course work.

Because forensic science is a scientific field based in both scientific method and principles, and scientific laboratory applications, students completing this degree can seek professional employment positions in not just forensic science labs, but also in commercial and industrial laboratories.

The Cyber Security major addresses the evolving threats to our economy and society in cyberspace. The curriculum is designed to give students a solid background in technology applications, threat assessment, and mitigation. Using real-world case scenarios and threat actors, the program challenges students to think critically about interconnected systems and vulnerabilities. This diversified program culminates in a senior seminar that includes both digital forensics and cyber security students participating in a red team/blue team scenario, providing both teams the opportunity to manage an intrusion incident from inception to forensic analysis and reporting.

The finance concentration enables the student to build upon the solid foundation from the course work in the MBA program and provides students with greater exposure to economic and financial business practices. The finance courses provide an opportunity for students to learn about local, national and international economies in cooperating and competing markets. Students will explore performance of stocks, bonds, commodities and other types of investments. The program prepares students to work in the field of financial management either independently or with a corporation, bank, securities firm, non-profit organization or an investment firm.
