Criminal justice majors benefit from an interdisciplinary curriculum that blends both academics and experience to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Findlay's graphic design major provides a curriculum focused on the development of visual communication skills through coursework in digital imaging, typography, interactive media, and commercial design. Students also gain experience in marketing and communications.

• Graphic design majors have a variety of opportunities to participate in internships with local businesses or organizations and with offices on campus. Students also participate in service learning projects in the classroom to design publications for community partners.
• Students in the graphic design major enjoy access to the Mazza Museum, the most diverse collection of original artwork by children's book illustrators in the world. Students attend annual Mazza conferences, interact with nationally recognized award-winning illustrators, complete internships with the museum, and volunteer with monthly educational events.
• Senior graphic design majors participate in capstone coursework that includes career preparation, a senior exhibition, and professionally-oriented individualized work with local clients. Students also have opportunities to participate in juried exhibitions, including the annual University of Findlay Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition at the Lea Gallery.

Health informatics uses the same principle of processing data, but for the purpose of improving healthcare outcomes. The data collected at doctors' offices, clinics, and pharmacies plays a critical role in healthcare reform. The University of Findlay's Master of Science in Health Informatics Program prepares students to take on emerging healthcare roles and to be successful in a fast-growing field. Our program is offered in two formats, which provides our students with the flexibility to fit classes into their busy schedules. The program is offered 100 percent online or in a hybrid format, which is a combination of both online and on-campus courses.

Students can complete the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program in just two years. They also have the option to complete six courses to earn the Certificate in Health Informatics, which can be applied towards the master's degree later.

Few majors provide you with more highly marketable skills for a variety of careers than the English major. The creative and critical thinking skills that you learn as an English major are highly valued in today's fast-paced and competitive market.

The English program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in many diverse areas of education, public relations, communications, law, and marketing.  As an English major, you will develop skills to become a critical reader, writer, and thinker through the study of diverse literary genres, writing strategies, and research skills.
