An emphasis in web and database prepares students for careers as Web programmers, database administrators, or software engineers.  Graduates will be able to create the back-end programming needed for today's business websites and ensure data are efficiently managed and organized to meet today's information needs.

To complete a Computer Science degree with a Web and Database Emphasis you must complete six web and database emphasis courses in addition to the computer science core courses.

Findlay's art management major offers a combination of studio and art history experiences along with coursework in business administration, accounting, economics and marketing. This major prepares you for administrative positions related to galleries, museums, art centers, and community art organizations.

Program Highlights

• Students in the art management major enjoy access to the Mazza Museum, the most diverse collection of original artwork by children's book illustrators in the world. Students attend annual Mazza conferences, interact with nationally recognized award-winning illustrators, complete internships with the museum, and volunteer with monthly educational events.
• The Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery provides opportunities for art management students to participate in the organization, preparation, and installation of shows. The Lea Gallery presents eight to ten exhibitions throughout the year, including works by students, faculty, and regional and national artists. Students engage with exhibiting artists through gallery talks, classroom demonstrations, and public presentations.
• Art management majors have the opportunity to visit nationally-recognized museums and galleries through study trips abroad, annual art program trips to New York City and Chicago, and class trips to museums such as the Toledo Museum of Art and the Detroit Institute of Art.

The University’s philosophy program prepares individuals to use ideas and theories to address real-world issues in areas such as education, business, law, public policy, health care and the environment. Medical laboratory scientists perform laboratory tests used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. These tests range from simple blood tests to more complex analyses such as those needed to uncover diseases such as AIDS, diabetes or cancer. Medical laboratory scientists can also specialize in areas such as chemistry, hematology, blood banking, immunology and microbiology. They are responsible for the accuracy of test results and the reporting of results to the pathologist or other doctors.

The University of Findlay's MLS program will prepare you to enter an accredited clinical education training program. The program includes courses that are required for certification as well as the general education requirements needed for a bachelor of science degree.

This option consists of four years at the University of Findlay and is completed with the awarding of a bachelor's degree. It's a program developed in consultation with representatives from veterinary schools who stress the need for both strong academic preparation and practical animal contact for veterinary candidates. Two special seminars provide orientation to the various fields of veterinary medicine and facilitate application to veterinary schools.

Observing at Findlay’s equine hospital (board-certified equine surgeon on staff). The University Equine Veterinary Services, Inc. (located at our English riding facility)offers emergency and routine medical and surgical services for Findlay's animal herds and animals belonging to the general public.

The first semester is an intensive on-campus experience. Students will spend 30 to 40 hours a week in the classroom and laboratory. In addition to scanning in the laboratories, students will have the opportunity to use the University’s cadaver lab. Upon completion of the academic semester, students will attend clinical education for 40 hours per week at one of the University’s designated Clinical Education Centers. Clinical education is 35 weeks in length and totals 1,400 hours. This impressive amount of clinical education ensures that our graduates have attributes that employers are looking for. Along with the unique, three-semester design of the programs, students will complete their degree faster and begin their professional careers sooner!

Students enrolled in the Echocardiography program will spend 16 weeks in the classroom and laboratory settings learning normal and pathological conditions as they relate to the study of the adult heart. Students will experience a unique curriculum design that offers the opportunity to learn in the classroom a setting and then immediately apply this knowledge in the lab using state-of-the-art equipment.

University of Findlay's Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences provides advanced training for nuclear medicine technologists seeking to become multi-modality technologists, radiology directors, administrators, researchers, and educators.

The Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences Program was designed as a way for nuclear medicine technologists to elevate their training and certifications in just two years.
