The Bachelor of Health, Physical Education and Sport (Secondary)  has been designed to equip you with the professional knowledge and practical skills you need to teach in diverse school settings.

Utilising a strong core curriculum with an explicit focus on teaching practice, and you will learn to use a range of teaching strategies that engage your students' needs, use assessment and data to inform practice, and use critical reflection to impact the future of your classroom.

Throughout this degree, you will:

• Complete over 80 days of teaching practice to gain real-world experience and graduate classroom-ready
• Study three teaching methods, for health, physical education, and one elective subject area
• Gain sports coaching experience
• Have the option to undertake accelerated learning to complete your degree in 3.5 years.

The Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Honours) provides industry-based participatory learning.

In this degree, you will gain experience, skills and knowledge that can only be obtained from within the pharmaceutical science industry.

Placement allocation is determined by a competitive process. Based on student areas of interest, partners conduct interviews and select their preferred candidates.

Graduates continuing into honours from the RMIT Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences undergraduate degree will commence placement selection in third year.

Applicants graduating from an equivalent degree from other institutions will liaise with the program coordinator to facilitate preferences and placement interview times after application and enrolment.

A Bachelor of Psychology from RMIT will provide you with a wide range of knowledge and skills in human behaviour.

RMIT's Bachelor of Biomedical Science will equip you with a fundamental understanding of the human body and how it interacts with disease: how it occurs, what happens, and how we can control, cure and prevent it.

Studying in purpose-built facilities, you'll develop an understanding of the research process and gain practical experience with the modern technologies used in biomedical research, ensuring you are job-ready when you graduate.

You'll have the flexibility to choose your specialisation. Specialist areas include cell biology, neuroscience, human anatomy, human physiology, and biochemistry and molecular biology.

This biomedical science degree is an ideal preparation for graduate entry into health sciences degrees such as medicine, physiotherapy and dentistry. It also prepares you for entry into postgraduate Honours and higher degree research programs.

The Master of Biotechnology focuses on the study of living systems to address challenges in the environment, health or food science.

Students will explore gene and protein technologies, bioinformatics, and various microbiology and food science disciplines, both in the classroom and via a strong component of hands-on laboratory practicals.

This program includes an option to complete one semester of either work experience in the form of an industry placement, or a research project where you’ll complete minor thesis.

All students have the opportunity to analyse real-world data when they undertake a research project.

The Master of Clinical Psychology provides you with the advanced knowledge and clinical skills that will enable you to function as professional clinical psychologist in a wide range of health, community and allied settings.

This training encompasses a wide range of theoretical and applied topics, such as knowledge of psychological principles, application of psychological theories and models, design and implementation of psychological interventions, ethical, legal and professional aspects of psychological practice, psychological assessment and measurement, applied research and evaluation, and communication and interpersonal relationships.

Advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment are imparted through intensive, small-group face-to-face didactic lectures/seminars, tutorials, case presentations, role plays and workshops. Mental Health Nurses are specialist registered nurses with key responsibilities to assess, plan and provide care for people who are often vulnerable and in crisis. Advance your nursing career with the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, which would enhance your ability to deliver recovery focused care in a variety of mental health settings.
Professionally recognised

This diploma is a core requirement that can be used in your application to be credentialed by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, which will allow you to practice as a recognised Mental Health Nurse. Upon graduation, you will be able to access a Graduate Diploma allowance under the Victorian Public Mental Health Nurses award and seek promotional positions that require this qualification.
