We have a multidisciplinary research base that offers opportunities to conduct biomedical research in a range of areas.

Under expert supervision, you will develop your skills and join researchers already active in

• Aquatic and marine biology
• Ecotoxicology (biomarkers for environmental pollutants)
• Environmental and molecular approaches to diagnose and develop solutions for disease, agricultural and environmental problems
• Genomics and sequencing techniques applied to various organisms
• Microbiology (food, medical and environmental biotechnology, vaccine development, fundamentals of pathogen/host interactions)
• Plant biology (plant biotechnology and genomics, molecular plant breeding, ecotoxicogenomics, fire and environmental ecology)
• Genomics and sequencing techniques applied to various organisms.

You'll examine how such disorders affect biomechanics, the nervous system and health in general. The focus is on manual treatments such as spinal adjustments and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation.

Anatomy, physiology and pathology courses underpin the clinical science studies of physical examination, differential diagnosis for the chiropractor and clinical practicum.

You will begin work-integrated learning immediately, culminating in your fourth year when you will perform patient-care duties with supervision from a registered practitioner.

At the RMIT Health Clinic at University Hill, Bundoora, fourth and fifth year students, under the supervision of registered chiropractors, treat patients using a wide variety of management approaches.

The Master of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) will develop advanced knowledge and skills in environmental engineering to enhance your career prospects in relevant industries.

You will develop specialist technical capabilities in:

• Water treatment engineering and water resource systems optimisation
• Advanced technologies for wastewater reclamation
• Urban hydrology
• Soil remediation
• Humanitarian engineering
• Sustainable waste management in the context of circular economy.

You'll develop extensive knowledge in environmental engineering and related technologies combined with advanced oral and written communication, teamwork, process design, project management and research skills. You will enhance your professional skills in management, leadership and business enterprise.

You'll also gain skills that will allow you to step up as a project leader, consultant or manager with the knowledge to lead the introduction of new technologies and operating practices in environmental engineering.

Throughout this degree, you will:

• Complete over 80 days of teaching practice to gain real-world experience and graduate classroom-ready

Mental Health Nurses are specialist registered nurses with key responsibilities to assess, plan and provide care for people who are often vulnerable and in crisis. Advance your nursing career with the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, which would enhance your ability to deliver recovery focused care in a variety of mental health settings.
Professionally recognised

This diploma is a core requirement that can be used in your application to be credentialed by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, which will allow you to practice as a recognised Mental Health Nurse. Upon graduation, you will be able to access a Graduate Diploma allowance under the Victorian Public Mental Health Nurses award and seek promotional positions that require this qualification.
