In the Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology - Electrical, you'll learn to design, validate, and evaluate electrical equipment and systems, as well as provide technical advice and sales.

Electrical engineers design and maintain electrical systems to improve the production and distribution of energy. As our society increasingly depends on electrical and electronic devices, electrical engineers are in high demand.

In your career as an electrical engineer, you will design and maintain electrical systems in areas like aerospace, power utilities, mining, oil and gas, wind and solar food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, data centres, transport and logistics, and many others.

You’ll gain skills in electrical design, programmable logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, industrial data networking, and motor control. Following graduation, you’ll be qualified to work in the electrical industry.

A Master of Geospatial Science will prepare you for leadership roles in this field, building your understanding of spatial analytics and big spatial data for making critical decisions about our built and natural environment.

You'll gain professional-level expertise in the analysis, management, capture and visualisation of spatial information, and become proficient in the latest technologies and infrastructures to support these skills.
Through this course you will develop a unique breadth of expertise across geospatial science, including:

• Knowledge of fundamental spatial information technologies, such as geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial programming, spatial databases, and cloud and mobile geospatial computing.
• Advanced skills in mapping and visualisation for creating engaging and interactive geospatial presentations.
• Knowledge of the latest spatial data capture systems, including satellite remote sensing, GPS satellite positioning, drone and aerial imagery, wearable sensors, sensor networks, and crowdsourced data.
• Specialised knowledge in key areas that complement geospatial science, and tailored to your specific needs, which may include environmental science, natural resource management, computer science, business and project management, architecture and urban planning, mathematics or statistics.

As innovation in design practice is positioned at the intersection of several disciplines, you will have the opportunity to address issues from a wide variety of professions such as engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, industrial design, service design, graphic design, animation, interaction, lighting, media and sound design.

This is a dynamic and industry-relevant degree where you’ll explore practical and theoretical decoration and design frameworks to support a wide range of projects, creating innovative interior concepts and proposals.

Underpinned by the exploration of sustainable practices in the planning and specification of interior structures, there is a strong focus on the application of materials and surface treatments, furnishings, and colour and lighting solutions to create aesthetic and functional spaces in both residential and commercial environments.

Projects will provide you with opportunity to work directly with industry to develop an understanding of associated vocational roles.

On successful completion graduates may be employed in assisting in commercial design offices, working with lead designers in boutique design or decoration consultancies, working in colour consulting, and fulfilling design and decoration consultation outcomes in other related retail and wholesale sectors of the industry.

As an interior designer and decorator, you will create aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces working to design briefs. You’ll also design residential and commercial environments, drew sketches and produce samples of your designs. You will work directly with clients, specify materials, finishes and colour schemes, provide advice on artwork, supervise on-site design and construction, keep up with global trends and communicate effectively with clients and project consultants.
