The Master of Landscape Architecture is about envisioning, investigating, and proposing better ways of living in a complex and changing world.

The Master of Landscape Architecture course is accredited by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. The course is recognised as a world-class facility in fostering design knowledge, critical thinking, and design advocacy through innovative teaching and research.

You’ll learn through design studios, which operate as laboratories conducive to experimentation, investigation, and the exploration of design as an agent that responds to issues in the built environment. Studios are led by distinguished local and international academic practitioners drawing from a diverse field of knowledge and experience.

The Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) looks at animation in all its forms, from the animated character to motion graphics across linear and interactive environments. Presented in a creative environment, this degree focuses on intellectual investigation and conceptual development.

Upon graduating, you will demonstrate aesthetic and intellectual maturity, as well as strong technical abilities within design, media and art disciplines.
Students and staff enjoy wide national and international acknowledgement, and exhibit in festivals and conferences such as Siggraph, MIAF, LIAF, MILIA and Annecy.

You will develop your directorial vision as you learn concepts and techniques of narrative, visual, and interactive media in a studio setting.

This degree builds on more than 20 years of RMIT’s success in postgraduate teaching and research, focusing on the advanced theoretical and practical aspects of professional production in animation, games, and interactive media.

As you acquire skills in these areas, you will develop a directorial vision and in-depth understanding of narrative, visual, and interactive media through studio projects and collaborations that focus on current global trends.

By the end of your studies, you will have completed a number of major studio works in your specialisation, as well as a substantial amount of research.

Public relations is a career for people with enquiring minds. Advising organisations on how to enhance their working relationships and reputation is at the heart of modern PR.
The Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) prepares you for the increasingly globalised, technology-driven world of public relations within corporate, government, not-for-profit and consultancy environments.

This degree includes subjects in strategic communication and theory, principles, research, and contextual studies. These subjects promote analytical and research skills and provide a broader learning experience. You will gain professional skills in writing techniques, media and stakeholder relations, strategy and industry research, with an emphasis on problem solving, creativity, relationship development and project management.

You'll build your skills and knowledge on campus and in a variety of work-integrated learning environments. You will be exposed to other fields of applied communication practice and how they converge with public relations.

Begin your career in mechanical engineering and industrial design.

You'll gain both the technical and creative skills to design and develop advanced manufactured products.

Industrial design links industry and economy with people, culture, society and environment, while mechanical engineering involves the conversion and control of energy and motion in machinery and systems.

This combined degree allows the integration of these highly complementary disciplines.

You’ll have the opportunity to design creative solutions through inspiring and sustainable design-and-build projects, as well as taking part in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge - a humanitarian-focused course offered in all RMIT engineering degrees.

To ensure you graduate job-ready, you’ll also have an opportunity to undertake a work-integrated learning (industry experience) elective.

Long associated with cutting edge technology and innovation, the aerospace and aviation industries attract people with advanced engineering knowledge and skills.

The Asian region is a key growth area for the aviation market, with double-digit growth rates in air traffic across China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Massive passenger growth means many more aircraft, larger and more airports, and larger and new airlines. This points to a need for more aerospace engineers, and more aviation-related employees.

During your study in the Master of Engineering (Aerospace), you'll learn how to analyse complex engineering assets in the aerospace and aviation environment; and you will develop engineering, scientific and technological solutions to ensure problem-free operations. Your skills will be further sharpened with systematic problem-solving and adherence to engineering/technological systems design methodologies operating in the industry.

The Associate Degree in Applied Science has been designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in the rapidly-advancing fields of biotechnology and biomedicine.

Working largely in a laboratory setting, you will learn essential skills in problem solving and teamwork to help you work effectively in industry. Through your studies, you'll explore the principles of chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, and more. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a professional environment with a work placement, allowing you to receive feedback from industry specialists.

This degree combines the essential elements of environmental science with environmental engineering.

You will learn to understand interactions in the environment and how to design solutions to environmental problems.

As a double degree graduate, you will be uniquely placed to work in a variety of industries and roles, with a combined understanding of the science and the ability to design technical solutions.

In your final year you will choose your minor study in environmental biology, environmental chemistry or groundwater engineering.

The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Directing) is delivered as part of a sequence, beginning with the Diploma of Screen and Media (Content Creation).

Upon satisfactory completion of the diploma you will be eligible to progress to the advanced diploma.
