The advanced science degree differs from the Bachelor of Science with the inclusion of advanced-level courses and an honours year. In addition to foundation subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics and maths, you also have access to more than 26 advanced fields of science. During your studies, you will develop the critical and analytical thinking needed for the successful completion of the research-based honours year.

In the engineering degree, you'll have the opportunity to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, engineering and technical management and research. Choose from a wide range of specialisations, from traditional disciplines such as civil engineering and electrical engineering, through to those tailored to modern challenges, such as renewable energy engineering.

Problems with eyesight can have a profound impact on an individual’s life. Through optometry, many vision problems and eye diseases can be corrected or managed, restoring sight to people from all walks of life.

Optometrists diagnose vision problems, eye diseases and other eye health issues. These highly skilled professionals correct poor vision and manage or slow degenerative eye diseases with corrective lenses, optical aids, therapy or medication.

The Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Clinical Optometry provides you with the clinical skills and training required to gain registration to practice optometry. It combines the theoretical discipline of vision science with the clinical expertise of primary eye care. 

The UNSW Master of Public Relations & Advertising/Master of Design combines two postgraduate degrees over two or three years full-time. This broad degree covers the steps in a product's creation, from chemistry through to economics. Chemical engineers design, create and optimise the systems and equipment used in chemical, industrial, biological and environmental processes, producing a range of materials, like fuels, fertilisers, foods, wine, polymers and pharmaceuticals.

Chemical Engineering bridges the study of the chemical and physical sciences with engineering. You'll learn how to design and develop chemical processes and equipment, optimise and control industrial operations, plan plant operations, tailor management strategies, work with nanoparticles, look into environmental effects and pollution control, and more. Management, critical analysis and economics are key components of your training.

The Master of Engineering Science (Electrical Engineering) is a two-year full-time year degree at UNSW’s leading engineering faculty. You’ll explore the study of electrical engineering where you’ll learn across a variety of engineering systems, including renewable energy and signal processing.

This postgraduate degree is designed to take your knowledge of a specialisation from an undergraduate degree level to an advanced post graduate level. Armed with expertise, you'll be able to enter a new field or lay the foundations for a career in research and development.
