The Bachelor of Fine Arts / Bachelor of Law (BFA LLB) is a 5-year program that combines a highly valued professional legal qualification with a qualification designed for those who wish to involve themselves in creative fields such as animation, visual arts, and music.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of law and gain a strong understanding of legal issues, ethical practice and social justice. When you study marketing at UNSW Business School, you’ll learn how to build profitability by creating valued relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, shareholders, and the community. As a marketing professional, your role is to identify and understand identify and understand customers’ needs and wants, determine target markets; design appropriate products, services and programs; develop communications to promote businesses and organisations; and determine the most effective way to deliver a service.

This double degree enables students to gain skills and knowledge in the technical field of Computer Science as well as in a variety of subjects in Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Computer Science component emphasises comprehension of the basic principles behind computing tools, operating systems, compilers and translators, and computer hardware. You'll study the representation of data and data structures and the design of algorithms, as well as the creation of hardware and software tools and the role of non-computing elements in the design and development process.

With an established and trusted history of producing graduates sought after for their vision, our graduates have secured roles in world-leading cultural institutions such as the Smithsonian, Carriageworks and MAAS.

This degree is for those interested in exploring a wide range of areas across curating and cultural leadership through industry engagement and professional experience with galleries, libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions. We deliver our curriculum in close collaboration with our on-campus UNSW Galleries and a broad range of Australian and international creative industries partners. Criminal Justice and Criminology
Crime and criminal justice are matters of pressing public concern and considerable controversy. Newly emerging problems offer challenges and require rethinking conventional understandings of criminology and criminal justice. Innovative technologies and justice practices may offer advantages and threats to due process and the integrity of the criminal justice system.  

The Criminal Justice and Criminology specialisation in the Master of Laws will provide you with advanced interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to research and analyse current debates, emerging problems, and new criminal law and criminal justice developments. The specialisation draws on the recognised expertise of UNSW in research and teaching of criminal justice and criminology, criminal law and procedure. You can also choose courses dealing with transnational developments, international criminal law and human rights, and the rapidly evolving sub-discipline of state crime.

The UNSW Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a four-year, full-time (or part-time equivalent) double degree that provides you with the skills to pursue a career in secondary-school teaching, specialising in science and mathematics. After completing the degree, you’ll have a professional teaching qualification as well as a flagship science degree from our science faculty, UNSW Science.

The Bachelor of Computer Science/Fine Arts double degree provides technical and creative foundations for developing and using computer graphics and coded media. It allows you to specialise in either the technical or creative strand of computer graphics and associated fields.

Petroleum Engineers work with oil or gas companies to design, test and implement efficient methods to extract petroleum products from the earth and sea floor. They use their knowledge and skills to make estimations about what is going on thousands of metres below the ground. Petroleum Engineers rely on physical, mathematical and engineering principles to identify and solve problems in exploration, exploitation, drilling and production.

They work closely with other professionals, such as geologists, to locate the dig site, design and build the machines that extract as much oil and gas as possible. They also oversee the removal and processing of the petroleum itself. Petroleum engineers address the economic and management problems associated with the recovery of hydrocarbons and alternative sources of energy from below the Earth’s surface. Petroleum engineers apply practical science to the challenges and problems associated with oil and gas exploration, drilling and petroleum production. In this career you’ll focus on the environment, and how we can meet global energy needs in a long-term, sustainable manner.

In this career you’ll apply knowledge of chemistry, physics, geology and economics to the discovery, development and production of energy and material resources below the Earth’s surface. This knowledge can also be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and geothermal resources engineering.
