If you're interested in both legal and economic analysis, the Bachelor of Economics/Law provides you the opportunity to examine the formation, process, structure and economic impact of law, policy and legal institutions.

The UNSW Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a four-year, full-time (or part-time equivalent) double degree that provides you with the skills to pursue a career in secondary-school teaching, specialising in science and mathematics. After completing the degree, you’ll have a professional teaching qualification as well as a flagship science degree from our science faculty, UNSW Science.

You’ll learn how science is taught and gain an understanding of STEM subject areas such as environmental science, physics or mathematics. The Master of Actuarial Studies (Extension) equips you with the data analytics and quantitative risk management training for success in an actuarial career, or a career in finance.

The extension program adds four courses to the Master of Actuarial Studies. This allows you to complete the professionally accredited courses to become an actuary, as well as to broaden your knowledge through electives in actuarial studies, risk management, business, or options in mathematics and in computer science. The program is accredited by the Actuaries Institute.

The program has also earned the University-Earned Credit (UEC) program status for Financial Mathematics (FM) exam and Statistics for Risk Modelling (SRM) exam. This UEC program facilitates the pathway for students who pursue the Society of Actuaries (SOA) profession by providing opportunities to earn credit for SOA exams.

The School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications offers a five-year integrated degree leading to a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering (BE ME) in Electrical Engineering. Manufacturing engineers develop products, as well as the machines that create them. Mechanical and manufacturing engineers apply scientific and engineering knowledge to the development, manufacture and distribution of all types of products. They research, design, build, test, maintain and improve almost everything, from power plants and renewable energy systems to robots and cars.

In this degree, you’ll learn how to transform a design from a conceptual stage into a prototype and finally into a commercially viable product. You’ll integrate the knowledge gained from this degree into a framework and process that allows you to implement your designs, solutions and ideas in a commercial environment.
