What you'll learn

This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in economics, finance and trade. 

Laws (Honours)
As a UniSA Law student, you’ll gain valuable skills from day one, including in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy. You will also experience what it's like to argue a case and provide legal advice.

Throughout your degree you will study core courses that teach you the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of basic legal principles.

Our Law program also features courses that build your leadership skills, intercultural communication, project management and capacity for community engagement.

You will have the opportunity to have practical learning experiences including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination. You will also engage in a Community Justice project, high-level research or an industry placement, ensuring you’ll be prepared for legal practise upon graduation.

Economics, Finance and Trade
You will study core courses in areas such as accounting and economic theory. You will also learn the latest in specialist areas such as:

• Growth development and the macroeconomy
• Portfolio and fund management
• International currency and banking markets

Logistics and supply chain management involves managing the flow of goods and services from the point of origin to the consumer - a critical process for many businesses. It can encompass warehousing, monitoring inventory, purchasing, transport and distribution.

In this degree you will learn to manage the flow of goods and services from point of origin to consumer, focusing on the complex system of global supply that delivers products to your doorstep or local retailer.

What you'll learn

The degree starts with core courses in business. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as economics, accounting and business intelligence. 

You will then study specialist courses in areas such as:

• Integrated supply chain management
• Procurement for strategic advantage
• International management ethics and values

This highly flexible degree allows you to tailor your studies to your interests and future career.

You could:

• Build your own degree by completing a mix of minors (with or without electives) or sub-majors across a range of different study areas
• Explore 16 other UniSA Bachelor of Business degrees across specialisations such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Property, Management, Tourism and Event Management, and transfer with study credit for most successfully completed courses
• Complete a bachelor's degree and master's qualification in just four years with our Fast-track to Masters package
• Undertake a one-year international exchange with Rennes School of Business in Brittany, France.

What you'll learn

The degree starts with core courses in business. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as international business, economics and entrepreneurship. There are also twelve courses that you can use to custom build your degree. For example, you could choose to do either:

• Three minors (four courses each), or
• Two minors (four courses each) and four electives, or
• Two sub-majors (six courses each), or
• A 12-month international exchange and four electives.

In this degree you will learn contemporary management skills and study areas such as marketing strategy and planning. You will gain the confidence to manage organisations and achieve business objectives in an efficient and effective manner.

What you'll learn

The Master of Management (Marketing) comprises 12 courses. You will complete four core courses and six Marketing specialisation courses.

Advance your knowledge and skills in contemporary management practice. Develop your expertise in core areas such as business ethics, business analytics, leadership and performance, and strategic thinking. Learn how to effectively manage organisations and achieve key business objectives.

Through these you will develop skills and expertise in areas that include:

• Advanced marketing analytics 

Bachelor of Architectural Studies is a globally competitive degree focusing on the relationship between architecture, communication, technology, culture, and natural and built environments. Our alumni network spans the globe, from award-winning local architectural practices to international practices with offices worldwide.

This bachelor-level degree will provide you with the skills and knowledge to understand design principles and methods; building structures and construction systems; digital design and communication methods; sustainable design strategies; and the social and cultural history that shapes our world.

This degree has a strong practical focus – in architectural design studio classes, you will design real and speculative projects informed by contemporary architectural practice and construction, as well as undertake research and hands-on learning through industry-led and practically-focused coursework.

As well as the opportunity to gain relevant practical experience, you will gain the skills needed to design architectural environments that range in scale and complexity and develop:

• Research and methodological skills to integrate theoretical, behavioural, environmental, and ethical issues within architectural practice

  Verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, including traditional drawing methods and 2D and 3D computer-based representation skills that will enable you to visualise your designs using Virtual Reality and the Unreal game engine
  Conceptual and technical skills to demonstrate a broad understanding of knowledge in contemporary design culture, including Aboriginal and First Nations cultural practices.

This Fast-track to Masters program allows you to fast-track your career by completing an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in just four years. You will be able to diversify your skill set, increase your earning potential with a more advanced qualification, and expand your career opportunities across a range of fields.

What you'll learn

You will start with core courses in areas such as analytics, accounting and economic theory. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals that you can apply to a range of careers.

In your specialisation you will focus on finance and financial markets. Specific areas include financial markets and institutions; international currency and banking markets; portfolio and fund management; macroeconomics; corporate valuation; and financial risk analysis and management.

In the Master of Professional Accounting you will study five core courses and nine accounting specialisation courses. You will gain a solid grounding in the latest accounting methods by studying areas in auditing, taxation, financial and management accounting and corporate finance. You will also study two electives as part of your studies.
 

The UniSA Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been designed for experienced managers and enterprising leaders. It has a strong practical focus on senior management decision-making and embeds the latest in management and leadership research.

Marketing specialisation

Emerging materials, processing technologies and sustainability are key focuses of this graduate diploma. You will also develop an advanced understanding of industrial design and graduate with the ability to develop and design physical products, systems, interfaces, and environments for cultural and economic exchange. • high-level technical skills needed for digital prototyping and the development of 3D design

• the ability to use knowledge of existing and emerging materials and processing technologies for high and low volume manufacturing
