Our graduates are proficient in domain-specific customising of a project management life cycle and in developing comprehensive project plans involving cost and quality control, managing risks and stakeholders. Focus on a discipline area by selecting a major in Advanced Manufacturing, Civil, Construction, Materials, and Sustainability Engineering, or join the WSU-UNSW Collaborative Program by selecting a major in Electrical, Mechanical or Robotic & Mechatronics. In addition, you can further specialise by selecting a minor from a wide range of recommended subject sets that will complement your chosen discipline.

Advanced Manufacturing

Manufacturing is continuously transforming as it integrates automation, analytics, intelligence, digitisation, and Internet of Things (IoT) into physical operations. In this major, you integrate techniques and methods to improve the sustainability and efficiency of manufacturing taking advantage of digitisation tools. You tackle complex problems, propose innovative solutions, and apply critical thinking to industry problems considering social, ethical and environmental factors.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program is designed for students with interests in learning to address humanity’s issues and challenges through the development and deployment of technical solutions.

This program spans all major engineering domains and prioritises industry relevance via an emphasis on work integrated learning to ensure students are career-ready on graduation. Robotics and Mechatronic engineering combines electrical, computing and mechanical engineering and is at the forefront in designing smart machines and systems, such as pilotless spacecraft, car cruise control, automated factories and medical telerobotics. Students explore intelligent mechanical systems and automation through an extensive and integrated hands-on laboratory program, as well as work-integrated industry projects. Students learn in-depth knowledge about the design and construction of these systems to integrate, evaluate and address their performance. Accounting jobs today require expertise and the ability to communicate effectively. By studying the Master of Professional Accounting program you will be provided the opportunity to think critically and communicate effectively whilst engaging with the community through industry partnerships.

The Master of Professional Accounting is an accredited graduate conversion program. It provides opportunities for applicants holding a degree (recognised as equivalent to an Australian three year undergraduate degree) in any discipline, other than an accredited accounting major, to complete the pre-entry educational requirements for CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

The program delivers a contemporary education in accounting principles and procedures supported by knowledge of associated disciplines of law, economics and finance.
