This program is ideal for students who are interested in acquiring a well-rounded understanding of health and wellness at the individual and societal levels.

Students will learn the principles behind health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the major determinants of human health, including social, biological, and environmental.

For students with health-related college diplomas, this program provides an opportunity to update their knowledge or enhance their credentials. A set number of credits may be granted to allow for a more expedient completion of the program.

State-of-the-art equipment and internationally recognized faculty and research projects make our department a dynamic and exciting place.

Studies concentrate on various aspects of solid-state and materials research, from superconductors to soft-condensed matter systems. Our undergraduate students are involved in research — some have even published papers before graduation.

Explore the world of interactive media, games and new models of content creation and delivery.

You’ll complete collaborative project work in interactive media while learning about related concepts and production methods.

Students interested in media design and creation can access courses in visual arts and theatre; those wanting to learn programming can choose options in applied computing; and those interested in the possibilities of narrative can pursue courses in English, Film and popular culture. Qualified fourth-year students participate in the program’s capstone production course, bringing together design, art, story, interaction and production in a fully developed interactive media product.

IASC students can choose to participate in internships to gain practical experience — learning from industry leaders and using cutting-edge technology in 3D modelling, motion capture, visual effects, live-action video and 3D printing.

The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers a variety of courses and degree programs in French Studies, Hispanic and Latin American Studies and Italian Studies. The Department also offers language courses in Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Swahili.

The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers four-year programs of study leading to a BA Honours in French Studies, as well as a combined honours in Hispanic and Latin American Studies, and Italian Studies, three-year BA Pass degree program in French Studies, as well as a combined pass in Hispanic and Latin American Studies, a concurrent five-year BA(Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior) degree in French Studies and a Certificate in Spanish Language Proficiency. In addition the Department offers Minor programs in French Studies, German, Hispanic and Latin American Studies and Italian Studies.

At Brock, History is much more than memorizing facts and dates — it involves exploring changes and continuities in bygone societies, cultures and peoples.

The study of History entails following your interests and curiosities, evaluating and interpreting evidence, as well as formulating logical arguments based on that evidence.

Our program provides a unique foundation in business practices for computing professionals. The program begins with core courses in computer programming, basic data structures and computer organization, augmented by courses in accounting, management and economics.
In upper years, you’ll study databases, advanced data structures, operating systems, computing ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing and organizational behaviour, and software engineering.

The Tecumseh Center for Aboriginal Research and Education offers a few alternatives for those keen on working in an indigenous teaching condition. 

The people group put together educational program model depends with respect to qualified Aboriginal teachers to encourage the instructive adventure. Courses are offered in an encouraged learning associate model in areas over the territory. A determination of Indigenous Studies courses are offered in the campus such as:

Are you interested in how children acquire language, how the skills of second-language speakers develop, how various language disorders can be diagnosed and treated, or how social or cultural environments interact with language?

Speech Language & Hearing Sciences: Learn about basic science and communication processes, including the anatomy and physiology of speech and hearing, acoustics, linguistics, child language development and selected disorders of human communication. Concentrate in Hearing Sciences and learn about sound, hearing, and hearing disorders, and prepare for admission to graduate audiology programs. Concentrate in Speech-Language Sciences and learn about speech, language, and speech and language disorders, and prepare for admission to speech-language pathology graduate programs.

Sociology as a discipline challenges everyday assumptions about the world in which we live. Sociologists turn ‘common sense’ ideas on their head through critical examination of social institutions, relationships and conditions shaping the world and the experiences of individuals.

Sociology students are encouraged to develop and employ their sociological imagination to examine the complex social world, relationships and the human condition.

Three-degree streams are available, as single majors or combined majors between Sociology and other disciplines. A collaborative program is also offered, where students may earn both a degree and a diploma.

The study of Political Science aims to teach students how to focus on the ideas, institutions and processes that shape our lives, helping them to become better members and effective leaders of the Canadian political community.

In Canadian Politics, Comparative Politics and International Relations, you’ll examine power relationships and the organization of power within and among states. The study of Public Policy asks how policies are made and implemented in the complex machinery of government. Political Theory/ Philosophy asks how power ought to be organized and to what end.
