Students enrolled in the program will be learning about sustainable energy solutions, applied research, health and environment, environmental risk management and also the work placement. For two years students will be developing their skills and enhancing their knowledge in the area of environmental technology with the help of excellent faculty and practical as well as theoretical classes. 

Further on completing the program students may seek their career opportunities in the areas of energy sector, natural resources, government agencies and ministries, conservation authorities, private corporations, water agencies, and many others which are similar to the field.

Training is student-centred and interprofessional, and  professors work with partners in the community to provide students with diverse, real-world experiences. This 10-month intensive program is intended for graduates of university degree programs in the Humanities or Social Sciences or diploma programs in a related human services field. [Mental Health and Addictions, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Nursing, Gerontology, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Community and Justice Services or others to be determined by the Program Co-ordinator.]

Applicants must have completed 40 hours of direct experience with clients in a social agency. 

Following the eight-month in-class portion, students will have a two-month field placement opportunity in a community agency.
