The Diploma in Musical Theatre at Capilano University is a three year long baccalaureate program that is exclusively designed for the students who wish to take up performing arts as a career option. Through the said degree students learn to Research, discuss, analyze, and notate music of a sophisticated harmonic, rhythmic, and formal character. The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis - Autism provides students with existing baccalaureate degrees from an accredited university the opportunity to obtain an additional credential that would enable them to work with children, youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The coursework and experiential component of the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis-Autism qualify students to write the professional certification exam of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board™ (BACB™) and then become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst™ (BCaBA™).

Filmmaking is an art and this art is in high demand during the present time. All kinds of films whether commercial or art are gaining audience and one such genre is documentary making. Capilano University offers its undergraduate students a diploma in documentary making which spans over a period of 12 months. Through this program students are helped with developing skills needed to produce, direct, write and edit documentaries. Students work with trained, highly professional, award winning filmmakers and expert faculty members who guide the students at every step of the way.

The School of Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University, the whole process of documentary making and learning starts from the ground level and gradually students are taught the tips & tricks of the trade. The program follows a professional production cycle from story concept and development, to pre-production, production, post-production and distribution and marketing phases. A number of graduates from this program work as award winning filmmakers and work from research and entry level roles to post production, students have succeeded in a variety of roles. 

The Certificate program in Legal Administration Assistant is a one year long undergraduate certificate provided by the School of Legal and Professional Studies at Capilano University. Students who are even remotely interested in the field of law and paralegal studies but do not wish to pursue lawyering as a profession can go for this certificate. The Legal Administrative Assistant program helps the students develop traditional administrative skills as well as legal procedural courses, including: civil and family litigation, wills and probate, corporate law, convincing and mortgaging, and legal office procedures.

Along with complete theoretical knowledge about various practices and concepts underlying law students are guided by a group of expert, highly professional faculty members who supervise and counsel students at every step of the way throughout the program. The Health Care Assistant (HCA) program combines theory courses, lab skills and clinical practicums in real-world health care settings. Students learn to provide personal care to clients and residents in complex care, specialized dementia care, selected acute care settings and in the community. Classes are taught by experienced health professionals who share their stories about clinical practice.

The HCA certificate is an 8-month full-time program offered in an accelerated program that students can complete in 7 months of study.

The North American Business Management Post Baccalaureate program (NABU) builds knowledge about how to do business in North America for students from around the world.

This program gives international students and new permanent residents an opportunity to gain North American business credentials and hands-on work experience. The School of Legal Studies at Capilano University offers an undergraduate diploma in paralegal studies which spans over a period of two years. This diploma is designed to equip the learner with paralegal skills to enable him/her to use the legal system effectively.  Paralegals are engaged by lawyers and law firms to assist them in various ways such as legal research, drafting, interviewing the clients etc. Various rights based NGOs also employ them in their organizations which can also be a great career for them.

Capilano University has a comprehensive program for international students called Early Childhood Care & Education Pathway which spans over a period of 1 year. This program is designed as a result of collaboration between English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program. This program is specially designed for students who study at the top two levels of the EAP program. 

This program is exclusively designed for international students in order to work with their English speaking skills and help them gain credentials. The Pathway program allows students to begin getting credit for an ECCE credential which is beneficial when they wish to take up further post-secondary education. Upon successful completion of the Pathway Program, you will have earned 9 credits you can apply toward your ECCE credential.
