The Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts is a baccalaureate program spanning for a length of four years and offered by the School of Motion Picture Arts. In this program, students are taught a number of things such as theoretical and technical knowledge about the field, development of critical skills, practical experiences with people from the industry and state of the art equipment for practical purposes. The Bosa Centre for Film and Animation is used for students to interact with professionals from the field of motion picture arts. 

In order to gain skills in different technical as well as creative departments students are taught a number of things by trained faculty members. Teamwork is also very significant for this program for students are required to do group projects in collaboration with fellow students. This way a student has the opportunity of learning and choosing from different areas of filmmaking. Looking to explore a wide range of academic disciplines? The Academic Studies Diploma is a 60 credit credential. The diploma can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Guided by their emerging areas of interest, students are invited to select their course of study from an extensive list of lower-level courses. Students can use their diploma credits towards further study at Capilano.

The Bachelor program majoring in Jazz Studies is a four year long program that deals with various aspects of the said subjects such as jazz performances, composing music and theoretical knowledge about music pertaining to the field of jazz. This degree deals with the playing, composing, teaching and conduction of jazz music. 

The two-year diploma comprises the first two years of the Bachelor of Music and gives students the skills to develop a career as a self-employed music professional. Students are taught about the history of music, about the influential figures in Jazz Music, research, analysis and notation of jazz music.
