Centennial College’s unique approach incorporates current trends in human resources, the affirmation of diversity and human rights and the promotion of positive union and management relations. You will develop expertise in all major areas of human resources such as: Human Resource Planning, Staffing, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Compensation, Employee and Labour Relations,  Occupational Health and Safety, Management Accounting, and Human Resource Management Systems.
 
The program emphasizes the ability to analyze and interpret financial and accounting information for decision-making purposes. Legal issues are covered from a proactive, rather than compliance, perspective. Finally, the use of integrated human resource systems software and computer skills to manage information and support decision-making is taught.
This unique Business School program will offer you the opportunity to acquire three designations:

The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automation and Robotics program will give you the inside and out information and hands-on experience you have to assume a key job in the realm of robotics and apply autonomy innovation. 

In this propelled recognition program's courses, you'll study the full scope of mechanization hypothesis and practice, from fundamental hardware through to its application in a computerized framework. The school building project will likewise cover all parts of electromechanical innovation, including mechanics, power, gadgets, water power, and pneumatics; apply autonomy, programmable rationale controllers (PLCs), movement control and HMI plan.

Co-Op Option
The co-op option in this program will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while you complete three consecutive work terms as an employee in the field. This experience not only allows you to put classroom learning into practice, but will also provide valuable contacts for your future career.

To participate in this co-op option, you will need to complete an application process in the fourth semester. If academically qualified, you may be admitted to the co-op program. Academically qualified students who are accepted into the program will register for the co-op preparation course as scheduled. When you graduate, your diploma will highlight the co-op credential.

Co-op Requirements

• Minimum of 80% of courses completed from year one and two
• A minimum C (60%) grade in COMM-170/171
• A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (this must be maintained for the duration of the program)
• Students must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Students who meet the above prerequisites will apply to transfer to the co-op program as scheduled

During the two-semester Pre-Business program, you'll work to build your fundamental business skills while exploring your career and educational options. As such, you'll complete courses in:

The Electrical Techniques program helps students build the skills required for a career in the electrical industry. Additionally, you'll acquire technical hands-on experience in installation, maintenance and application of troubleshooting techniques.

Centennial College's Electromechanical Engineering Technology – Automation and Robotics (Fast-Track) program is for qualified college or university graduates of engineering and science programs. If that's you, you'll gain direct admission into Year 2 (Semester 3) of this three-year engineering program and receive your advanced diploma in two years (four semesters).

This applied science program's courses will provide a thorough understanding of theory along with practical, hands-on laboratory experience. Embedded systems using microcontrollers, quality control using vision inspection and SPC, and continuous feedback control using PID will receive special attention. You'll also learn integration of automated equipment through its design, fabrication and installation.

Co-op Option
The co-op option in this program will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while you complete two consecutive work terms as an employee in the field. To participate in this co-op option, you will need to complete an application process in the second semester. If academically qualified, you may be admitted to the co-op program. The Electronics Engineering Technician (Fast-Track) program will enable you to increase direct entrance into Year 2 (Semester 3) of this two-year school confirmation program to get that certificate in one year (two semesters), in case you're a certified school or college graduate.
