A well-trained business analyst will use the insights to help drive change and business planning within organizations. You will learn how to describe, interpret, and inform business decisions in specific areas of data-driven business. You will improve your data literacy skills and develop an analytic mindset that will help you make strategic decisions based on data. The Business Analytics Ontario College Graduate Certificate program focuses on two of the four types of analytics used in business - Descriptive Analytics and Diagnostics Analytics. Using these two types of analytics, you will practice summarizing data findings to communicate what is currently going on in business and help stakeholders see what contributed to the outcome of your findings.

Quality Assurance - Manufacturing and Management

Process Quality Engineering
This advanced-level graduate certificate program provides individuals with the knowledge and techniques to improve the delivery and quality of products and services. The material that is taught in this program can be applied within any area of an organization. The focus of this program is on the achievement of performance excellence through the use of modern quality improvement methods. The program develops the skills required to perform process quality roles in a broad range of organizations and sectors.The program content aligns favourably with selected American Society of Quality's (ASQ) Bodies of Knowledge. This program is non-industry specific as it provides the proficiencies demanded by organizations in today’s market place.

Project Management
Learn how to manage simple to complex projects from start to finish, and become a critical part of an organization’s most exciting achievements. Develop the skills you need to oversee project management activities such as planning, managing scope, costs, time while balancing client expectations. Learn organizational Agility with practices such as Scrum. Establish goals for your project team and lead them to overcome obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. Interested in taking this program on a part-time basis? It's possible to complete this program while still working full-time and fulfilling your other commitments.

This one-year certificate program is designed for students who wish to acquire a general education in the arts and sciences while having the flexibility to explore further educational options within the college or pursuing a degree at a local university. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in communication, critical thinking and research, while exploring contemporary issues in today's global society. Students will select and explore a topic of interest through the construction of a research project, paper, and portfolio that culminates in a presentation to an audience. During this program, students will participate in a course that will enable them to discover career opportunities. In the second semester, students will consult with their program coordinator to select from a variety of post-secondary courses in disciplines of their choice. The program is designed to allow students to explore options that meet future academic goals either through selecting courses in a major discipline or courses eligible for credit transfer to local university partners (courses are subject to availability). After successful completion of this program, students may wish to transfer to the Two-year General Arts and Science Diploma program, apply to programs within Conestoga College, or pursue further education at other institutions.

If you are a graduate of an engineering or engineering technology program and want to expand your knowledge, the Applied Manufacturing Management program will bolster your leadership skills aimed for a manufacturing sector. This Ontario College Graduate Certificate will help you launch your leadership career within a Canadian manufacturing environment. In this program you will apply project lifecycle techniques and develop the ability to utilize and integrate complex manufacturing design software. Team management skills will be refined to aid in meeting Canadian industry goals. Through theoretical and practical courses, you will be exposed to real life situations that arise in the workplace. You will work individually and in groups using current software to simulate the management of manufacturing initiatives while incorporating quality assurance, and process and project management techniques. You will focus on meeting challenges in a production environment from both operational and strategic perspectives in this management-tailored program.

This program would be of interest to graduates of engineering degree or diploma programs wanting to expand their knowledge into the practical applications of AC and DC power for motion and propulsion. In this program you will be provided with opportunities for practical training in various electrical lab environments. Applications of AC/DC motors, transformers, inverters, batteries and chargers as well as programmable logic controllers are explored. These types of technologies are typically found in electric drives operating throughout industrial manufacturing and primary industries such as pulp and paper, metals and mining, power generation, elevators, escalators as well as moving walkways and electric transportation systems. The program will help you develop leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage complex industrial processes and teams effectively in order to meet business goals. It includes quality assurance, process and project management with a focus on meeting challenges in an industrial environment from operational and strategic perspectives. By the time you graduate, you will have an understanding of advancements in manufacturing processes, communications, human resources and safety practices so you can effectively contribute in today's industrial sector.

Geared to individuals interested in working in the dynamic spa industry in a variety of roles, the Esthetician program is offered as an Ontario College Diploma, providing theoretical and practical learning experiences in the areas of personal care, specialized beauty and body treatments, nail care, and customer service. The program includes integrated lab experiences plus a number of field placements which support the development of strong practical skills for specific procedures such as waxing, manicure, pedicure, facial treatments and other skin care procedures, with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in class. Career Development Practitioner is a three-semester (one-year) graduate certificate program that prepares graduates to enter the career development sector. The world of work is rapidly changing and new careers are emerging to meet current and future workforce needs. Career Development Professionals provide information, advice, and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search, and maintenance. This one-year graduate (three semesters) certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development such as career and employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers, or career management professionals. This program may also appeal to practitioners working in the field who want to gain additional formal training, job coaching experience, or attain their Career Development Practitioner designation. Graduation from the program provides the full academic component and partial fulfillment of work experience hours for certification by the Career Development Practitioners' Certification Board of Ontario (CDPCBO).

Whether developing a new product or service, enhancing an existing one through a triple bottom-line approach, leading an organization to more sustainable operations or managing change and promoting engagement for sustainability, graduates will be able to apply their skills in a variety of settings. Students are provided with flexible project options, including opportunities to work with local clients and community partners in developing plans to generate greater value, enhanced corporate responsibility and innovative marketing solutions. Students may also take advantage of experiential learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, such as volunteering at a local sustainability-oriented organization, and attending field trips, workshops and networking events. Upon program completion, graduates will be well positioned to write the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) exam and become a Sustainability Associate (SA).

Applying to the Co-op Stream
All applicants apply to the non co-op program. Students will be informed of the application deadline and process to apply for the Co-op Stream. Labour market conditions determine the number of co-op seats in optional co-op programs. Every student who meets academic eligibility requirements may not be admitted to the co-op stream.
To be considered for admission to the co-op stream, students are required to achieve a minimum overall 80% session weighted average in Level 1 with no dropped or failed courses.
