Choose an engaging career in Canada or abroad with select employers thanks to this program that is unique in Québec! The common study course enables students on DEC programs at the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism to acquire knowledge in hospitality, tourism and the restaurant business.

From Fall 2020, Hotel Management Technique students will have the option to divide their time between the College and an employer establishment to receive practical, concrete and paid field training. LaSalle College’s Work-Integrated Learning – Remunerated option is unique in Montréal.

This DEC also offers practical experience through service and supervision classes in our restaurant-school La Classe, at several major events and conferences, and on courses and professional visits. This enables our students to be versatile and form ties with people in the industry.

In collaboration with popular cosmetic companies, LaSalle College offers a professional hairdressing training officially recognized by the ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur.

From haircuts to highlights to haute coiffure, the latest fashion trends will be yours to explore with the use of our professional hairdressing studios. You can earn a Diploma of Vocational Studies in just one year, as our classes are condensed into a four-day week schedule.

As a graduate, you will find work in the entertainment industry (television, film, fashion), spas, beauty salons, hotels, resorts and you can even open your own business! LaSalle College Beauty department is in high demand and will often outsource its students to the fashion industry in Montréal, giving them immediate industry experience.

The Early Childhood Education Program (AEC) is intended to train childcare educators to work with children from 0 to 12 years old. During their training, students will learn how to meet a child’s basic, psychological, as well as educational needs.

Students will also learn to establish a partnership with parents and partners in the field to understand the importance of discussing the necessary intervention with a child. The program will allow students to develop and further their professional knowledge, to be qualified under the Règlement sur les garderies and the Règlement sur les centres de la petite enfance. This program allows students to find work right after they graduate.

Since 2012, aspiring child care workers can gain a better understanding of the profession by collaborating to the success of the LaSalle des petits Daycare. They can observe and learn from the daycare’s work environment and, as a result, be better prepared for the job market.

Program Objectives
Graduates of the Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Early Childhood Education Techniques will be able to use their skills in the childcare sector. This training, combined with three years of experience, will enable them to exercise their profession in early childhood educational environments in accordance with the Educational Childcare Act and its governing regulations.

With a training in event planning and management, your creativity, your versatility and your ability to work within a team will be put to practice.

In the field of event planning, the team works together with a single common purpose: to ensure that the event is unique and successful! The online Event Planning and Management program is designed for event and communications enthusiasts. Do you enjoy dynamic field work? Do you adapt well to flexible work schedules? This program is perfect for you!

With a core curriculum of studies, the Tourism Techniques program with a specialization in Development and Promotion of Travel Products (travel, hospitality, attractions, destinations, hotels, restaurants, etc) opens the doors to a wider array of careers in Québec, Canada or abroad.

This program focuses on the essential knowledge of tourism management. Teachers experienced in the industry provide their know-how and the key to success in entering the labor market. The program opens the doors to a variety of positions in development and promotion.

Students in this program may participate in the Job Fair organized by the International School of Hotel Management and Tourism, and eventually find a job in the industry.

The Human Sciences - International Management (DEC) program is designed for those seeking the acquisition of fundamental and versatile skills necessary for the pursuit of university studies. During this training, students will acquire a general education while learning the basic principles of management. LaSalle College promotes constant exchanges of know-how and expertise between its schools, its subsidiaries abroad and the business world. It emphasizes intercultural education and responsible citizenship.

The program has three profiles: Civilization and Citizenship, International Management and Individual and Society. The first allows the acquisition of training focused on international reality; the second is an initiation to the basic principles of management and mathematics; the third meets the university prerequisites for psychology and psychoeducation programs.

In collaboration with popular cosmetic companies, LaSalle College offers a professional aesthetic training program, officially recognized by the ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur.

As the only school in Québec to use the Physiodermie products, LaSalle College gives its students the opportunity to work with three different product lines in order to diversify their training and to meet the needs of the market. In this Aesthetic course, you will learn how to use equipment and products geared towards facial care, makeup, manicures, pedicures and wax hair removal.

As a graduate of this Esthetician course, you will find work in spas, beauty salons, hotels, resorts, medical clinics, the home care industry, and you can even open your own business!

With this 3D animation and VFX training available at our recognized VFX & Game Design School, learn how to create special effects for film, television, video games and many other audiovisual and multimedia fields.

Practice your skills with cutting-edge software such as Maya, V-Ray, Premiere, ZBrush, Photoshop and Nuke, so that you will be ready to enter the industry and make full use of the skills and knowledge you acquire during your 3D animation and VFX training courses.

Our teachers have worked in production studios and are industry professionals. They will help you create a portfolio to give you a step up onto the job market.

Our graduates will be able to choose from careers as 3D animators, 3D artists, character or environment designers, special effects designers or modelers, to name just a few.

Many LaSalle College graduates have worked on major productions such as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within, 300, and video games such as Halo III.

LaSalle College’s Managing Senior-Citizen Homes program is designed to keep pace with the projected development and consolidation in the senior citizen housing network, a rapidly-growing industry.

According to the Institut de la statistique du Québec, the number of people above age 65 will double over the next 20 years. Consequently, the demand for retirement homes will increase significantly. Many large-scale projects are currently in the works and there is high demand for workers. According to recent statistics*, 1000 positions per year will be added within the next 20 years.
