Gain the knowledge to support cloud development and delivery for a variety of companies. Through hands-on training, prepare to deal with everyday business challenges of cloud architecture and gain a skillset that is validated by industry certifications. During this program, learn how to:

• Create secure solutions that support highly available micro-services that meet client needs.
• Implement enterprise-level applications in hosted cloud environments that respond to client needs and business practices.
• Architect and deploy fault tolerant solutions within cloud computing platforms to solve identified business requirements.
• Automate security and resources for applications by using cloud computing tools to mitigate risk for organizations and protect assets.
• Design and test code-based solutions to cloud computing problems that ensure in-depth security.

Through training in predictive, descriptive and prescriptive analytics, gain the knowledge needed to design and build decision-making systems based on AI and data science. Get hands-on skills in the following:

• Learn how to collect, manipulate and mine data sets to meet organizational need.
• Acquire skills for designing and applying process-specific data models, as well as for developing software applications to manipulate data sets, correlate information and produce reports.
• Gain experience identifying and assessing data analytics, business strategies and workflows to respond to new opportunities or provide project solutions.

Quality engineers play a vital role in ensuring that products are being manufactured, installed and are operating to the required specifications. In this program, students use the latest software systems and innovative technologies while learning to design and develop systems, equipment and products for all areas of the manufacturing, software/IT and service sectors. Gain critical knowledge and skills about quality engineering, global standards for quality and how they translate into Canadian industry quality management practices recognized as Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma and Learn Manufacturing. Upon successful program completion, students will be eligible for multiple industry certifications.

Experiential learning, including a co-op elective
Gain the knowledge needed to design and develop systems, equipment and products. Get hands-on skills in the following:

• Learn how to implement and document the requirements of international quality standards (such as ISO 9001 and TS 16949).
• Aquire the skills to design, perform and analyze results of process improvement and product development.
• Experiment to form recommendations for implementing various process improvement tools.
• Practise evaluating quality issues, opportunities and performance metrics using current and relevant tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Root Cause Analysis.
• Lead and resolve quality assurance issues in a Canadian industrial environment using accepted quality assurance techniques including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Coordinate implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) process within a Canadian industrial or service organization using the concepts of Deming, Crosby and Juran.
• Use the correct device or instrument to accurately measure products and conduct a Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

The co-op job market is competitive, and students will be expected to participate actively in their job searches. Students will be supported with information and skills to attain co-ops.

Graduates with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 are granted exemption from four modules and two interactive workshops in accordance with the Supply Chain Management Association Ontario (SCMAO) and Loyalist's Partnership Agreement.
