After learning how to interpret basic blueprints, you’ll have the necessary skills to layout a complete plumbing system according to specific building codes. Employment in plumbing is stable in every economic market and competent plumbers find work fast.

Medical Laboratory Assistants interact with patients and the public. You’ll learn how to collect and prepare specimens for analysis, and perform data entry and clerical services in the lab. Our program offers on site learning in hospital laboratory settings. With the increase of New Brunswick’s aging population, skilled Medical Laboratory Assistants to perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for analysis and tests are in demand.

Please note: Students who have successfully completed the Network Support program have the opportunity to enter directly into the second year of the Network Administration program.

Our program offers further specialization in power distribution at our Saint John campus and alternate energy production and control at our Moncton campus. Mechanical Technicians are experts in mechanical devices and manufacturing. They have a unique skill set that shares common practices with Industrial Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering Technologists. You'll learn the basic functions of pipefitting, welding, rigging, electrical and machining. Our programs offers hands-on training in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, cooling and exhaust systems in industrial plants. Mechanical Technicians have a wide training base that offers employers two specialized forms of knowledge in a competitive job market.

Industrial Control Technologists are passionate about machines and appreciate the mechanics of production. They stay updated on the latest industrial hardware and software. You’ll learn how to repair, maintain, calibrate, adjust and install industrial measuring and control equipment. Our program also offers paid work placements and advanced training in writing specifications for required equipment, equipment purchasing, and quality testing. We’ll get you ready to join the fastest growing job sector in the tech industry today.

Chemical Technologists focus on quality assurance and problem-solving. They install and maintain complex equipment and conduct sophisticated chemical analyses. Work settings may include labs, offices, or fieldwork. As a key member of a scientific team, you’ll learn the skills to excel in chemical research, pilot-plant operations, quality control, and process industries. Your frequent participation in co-op work terms will allow you to put your knowledge to practice while learning about unique client needs.

Fuels Technicians are in charge of detailed operations. You'll learn how to install, operate, maintain, inspect and repair systems related to the distribution or consumption of natural gas, propane or oil. This program will provide you with the necessary instruction and practical experience to challenge the G2, G2-L (Liquid Propane Endorsement) Gas License and OBM Block 1 (Oil Burner Mechanic). Fuels Technicians inject safe and reliable expertise into the booming energy sector.

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.

Carpentry is a performance-driven career. Carpenters work with their hands to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures for residential and light commercial use. In addition to practical skills such as framing walls, siding and drywall installation, constructing wooden forms for pouring concrete, and erecting scaffolding, you’ll also learn about codes, standards, and quality concepts that apply to carpentry.
