The Steamfitter/Pipefitter trade is unique because it's the only one that specializes in the planning, design, and installation of low and high pressure steam systems and installation methods for each. They build, maintain and repair piping systems that carry just about anything that can be transported through a pipe: water, steam, fluids, gasses, chemicals, fuels, woodchips, etc.

This program will give you entry-level knowledge and practical experience required to pursue a career as a steamfitter/ pipefitter. You'll learn to assemble, install, maintain and repair pipes carrying water, steam chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems. Hoisting, lifting and rigging are also part of the curriculum. Trade theory and practical experience is supported by courses in communications and mathematics. Workplace safety is emphasized.

As pharmacists expand their scope, spending increasing amounts of time in direct patient care, the opportunity for pharmacy technicians to take more responsibility in patient care has created a need for regulation of pharmacy technicians. Our program, nationally accredited by the Canadian Council of Accreditation for Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), combines an exciting blend of theory, lab classes and applied workplace experiences in hospital and community pharmacies. You will learn the technical facets of pharmacy practices that will ensure a high standard of patient care and the safe distribution of drug products in varied practice settings.

The Social Service Community Worker program prepares learners for a career in the social and human services fields. By working with and supporting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, graduates can bring about meaningful change within society.

Learners acquire knowledge and ability in the areas of human development and relations, family dynamics and support, interpersonal communications, counseling, program planning, social policy and legislation, and advocacy. In this program, there’s a focus on how to effectively intervene and work with a diverse clientele who may be experiencing poverty, domestic violence, social, emotional, behavioral or mental health trauma, or other challenging life events.

Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

Early Childhood Educators are focused on developing holistic education programs. You'll learn to design and facilitate children’s activities while encouraging interpersonal behaviour and inclusivity. Early Childhood Education is about helping children learn through play, but it's also about embodying effective communication skills, friendliness, sensitivity, and other compassionate qualities. Applied Manufacturing Methods is a post-graduate program. The program offers a broad range of skill-based training in all aspects of manufacturing processes, including design, computer modelling, 3D printing, reverse engineering, quality control and quality assurance in addition to the skills in communication, documentation, computer application, information technology, critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork to support the manufacturing activities of an organization.
 
This program provides students with up-to-date manufacturing techniques and processes with a focus on computer modelling and supporting technologies. Students will further gain a strong understanding of contemporary quality control, quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies, and safety practices and procedures. Through classroom theory and hands-on activities, students will learn and practice their skills using industry-standard tools and equipment. 

The Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be employed as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy setting.

Areas of study include anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, communication skills, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy calculations, non-sterile compounding techniques, long term care pharmacy, receiving and entering a prescription, pharmacy software, inventory and third-party billing. Interpersonal communication skills is developed and evaluated along with other related skills in laboratory sessions on campus and during the practicum period.

Industrial Control Technologists are passionate about machines and appreciate the mechanics of production. They stay updated on the latest industrial hardware and software. You’ll learn how to repair, maintain, calibrate, adjust and install industrial measuring and control equipment. Our program also offers paid work placements and advanced training in writing specifications for required equipment, equipment purchasing, and quality testing. Keep the wheels in motion. Our two to three year Mechanical Engineering Technology program trains you to provide technical support and services in the design, development, maintenance and testing of machines, components, tools, heating and ventilation systems. In your first year, you'll learn the basics of mechanical engineering technology. In your second year, you'll learn advanced machine design, computer-aided drawings and specifications, building systems including HVAC, and engineering manufacturing operations and processes.
