You will participate in tax clinics, where accounting students prepare tax returns for low-income households and perform “mock audits” on local not-for-profit organizations. You will have help preparing for the CPA professional examinations. The BBA Degree is structured to provide students with general business knowledge and skills and the opportunity to acquire specialist knowledge and skills. In terms of general management knowledge, throughout the four years students move from introductory courses and learning how to apply business tools to more senior studies in creating competitive advantage through business strategy, entrepreneurship and change management. Some students choose to pursue breadth in their degree program (e.g. taking more ADMN courses and electives from the Humanities or Sciences) and do not select a stream, whereas others appreciate the opportunity to pursue more specialized expertise in the functional streams of accounting, economics, finance, marketing, organizational studies and technology management.
 

The Liberal Arts program provides maximum flexibility to study a range of disciplines. It emphasizes breadth rather than specialization so you can develop a program that is based on your specific interests and goals. The majority of courses taken in this degree will be in the Humanities and Social Sciences, although you can take courses in Business and Science as well.

Post-baccalaureate diploma will be of interest to students who have a non-business degree, and who want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business in order to enhance their employment opportunities. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a post-baccalaureate diploma as well.

Post-baccalaureate diplomas are also valuable to international students who wish to come to Canada to learn English, gain exposure to the culture, and study in a compressed format. Many who do so have already studied business in their own country and have received transfer credit that reduces the length of the program.
 
Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in International Business Management will help you get there. Specifically, you’ll learn about importing and exporting, market research to develop market entry strategies, supply chain management, managing in international environments, legal and financial aspects of international trade business.

In order to graduate with the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in International Business, students must obtain a minimum overall average of 60% on all courses presented for the diploma.  A minimum of 30 credits must be taken with Nipissing University to satisfy residency requirements.
