Recent advancements in computer hardware and machine learning algorithms have driven a rapid growth in the use of data science and machine learning across all economic sectors, with applications in robotics and automation, healthcare, finance, and government to name just a few. Because of this, there is now a huge demand for developers and data analysts with skills and experience in these fields.
In the Data Science and Machine Learning program, you will:

• Study the fundamental concepts in mathematics and statistics that make these technologies possible.
• Gain the skills to collect / organize data and use analytics to inform decisions.
• Implement current machine learning algorithms to address common needs in industry.
• Develop the skills to effectively communicate technical ideas with other developers as well as those without technical knowledge.
• Experience working with industry to develop code for real applications in data science and machine learning.

The Business Management post-graduate diploma provides a unique opportunity for professionals who want to advance their careers through the development of leadership and management knowledge and skills.  Students will apply theory to real-world situations through business simulations, case studies and group projects, using industry standard software in their courses. The combination of core and elective courses and culminating with an intensive work experience will prepare students for progression into career opportunities requiring strong leadership and management skills.

Students will develop competency in key management development skill areas with relevance to business and enterprise operations, business process improvement, sustainability of the supply chain and risk assessment and mitigation. Practical application and industry projects will further hone their business skills during the four-month Work Integrated experiential learning and produce confident graduates who have real work experience to incorporate into their resumes in search of career opportunities. 

Prepare for an in-demand career as a full stack web developer. This program provides you with the skills and abilities to manage the development of front-facing (what the user sees) and back-end (server-side) web technologies. 

After graduating from the program, use your skills to design and build web applications covering everything from analysis and design to development implementation and maintenance. Common duties of a full stack developer include discussing requirements with clients, proposing solutions, ensuring a pleasant end user experience, maintaining databases, performing quality assurance and application coding.

Additional skills that will be developed include analytical thinking, customer service, problem solving, incident management, detail orientation, patience, quality control and time management.

This post-graduate diploma program is designed to help students prepare for the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Canada designation. The program was developed from the CPA competency map that provides graduates with the opportunity to fill current and ongoing demand for accountants. Graduates can apply to use their post-graduate diploma credits for standing toward the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Students will gain a deeper understanding of accounting practices and principles; accounting management; taxation; communications; business law as it relates to finances and accounting.

Game Development is focused on providing graduates with the skill sets needed to pursue careers in video game development.  A foundational pillar of this program is to solve creative and technical challenges in a collaborative team-based environment, allowing students to build a relevant portfolio of work showcasing their skills.

Game Development Art blends different genres of games and interactive experiences will be explored and developed. To learn about games, we make games!

Co-op
Students will participate in a 12 week paid co-op in their field of study. Co-operative education integrates classroom theory with related on-the-job-training by alternating terms of academic study and employment. It allows the student to gain valuable industry experience, make industry contacts, and attain a competitive advantage for job search upon graduation. The student will also gain practical knowledge about the workplace environment, including expectations, behaviours and ethics required to be successful.

Digital Film and Media Production is a post-graduate diploma program that has been developed to provide students the necessary practical and theoretical skills to start a career in film and media production. It has been designed for graduates of post-secondary media programs, as well as industry professionals who wish to improve their skills as a producer, videographer, editor, and freelancer.

This program is specifically designed to help bridge students from post-secondary to the local film production industry, but also to give them practical business and administrative skills as a freelance producer.
