Sheridan's new Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance gives students theoretical and practical training in three core disciplines of acting, singing and dance through a comprehensive and holistic approach that will prepare you to perform in an international landscape.

No other performing arts school offers Sheridan's degree of professionalism. You'll have classes in acting, singing and dancing five days a week, plus weekly one-on-one tutorials with faculty in acting and singing. In addition to studio work, you'll get instruction in scriptwriting, music theory and music theatre history.

Sheridan’s Bachelor of Animation program is designed to prepare you for a wide variety of employment opportunities within the dynamic and ever-growing field of animation. In our Animation degree program, you’ll learn from industry professionals, using the same techniques and tools that you'll eventually need in the workplace. Using state-of-the-art software and hardware, you’ll create your own stories, designs, characters and layouts, and produce your own films.

Sheridan’s animation program emphasizes classical principles of animation in a variety of forms, including 2D digital, 3D and stop motion. You’ll learn the art of storyboarding and hone your life drawing, layout and digital painting skills. Working collaboratively or individually on productions, you’ll have the opportunity to explore all aspects of animation filmmaking.

After Year 3, you’ll gain professional experience during a three-month work placement. And at our annual Industry Day, employers will fly in from across North America to meet you, see your work and conduct interviews.

Take the design process from beginning to end
Sheridan's Industrial Design program gives you the tools to create smart, innovative and meaningful design. You'll go through the entire design process — from research to finished product. You'll look at design problems and imagine, develop and test solutions for specific audiences. Working with our other studios, you'll connect design with creation, broadening your knowledge.

State-of-the-art facilities
In this program, you'll use the latest technology to prepare you for success in the industrial design industry. You'll learn both digital fabrication methods and hand processes. Access to our state-of-the-art FAB LAB (with 3D printers and laser cutters) and our amazing faculty and students in other studios gives you a broad skill set to get you ready for a rewarding career.

Get a foundation in all Craft and Design studios
Our program provides a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to craft and design. You'll major in your studio of choice while building skills in the four other disciplines. You'll work with students and faculty from across all five studios on interdisciplinary projects that bring together a range of expertise and experiences to explore the potential of contemporary art, craft and design.

You'll earn your graduate certificate through classes that involve:

• Researching styles, trends and new developments within the industry.
• Developing two-dimensional special effects concepts and work-ups of what they might look like complete.
• Using specialized products and equipment to animate, sculpt, create, cast and mold your creations.

Professors who know the business
Because classes are small, you'll receive lots of personal support from your professors who are themselves highly experienced in the field. Most are still active in special effects makeup. Through your study you'll also be introduced to the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), the union representing the profession.

Practical, hands-on experience
During the summer following the first two semesters, you'll participate in a field placement where you can use your newly acquired special effects makeup skills in a professional setting. This invaluable work experience and exposure to professionals in the field can be a springboard for employment.

An integrated approach
Offered alongside the Game Level Design program at Sheridan's renowned Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, our game development courses simulate a realistic work environment that integrates game programming, tool development, digital art, storytelling and project management. Gain industry-specific skills
Developed in response to industry need, Sheridan Game Development courses encompass both 2D and 3D game development. In your final semester, you'll collaborate with students from the Game Level Design program to develop and produce an original video game capstone project.

Visual effects is truly a balance of left and right brain thinking. You must be able to understand and utilize both art and technology to create effective visual effects. Only by exploring the latest software and technology in-depth, will you be able to apply and grow your artistic talent.

Be a part of the film-making process
Whether it's creating massive destruction scenes or expanding the scope of production, nearly every film now requires visual effects for support. By collaborating with students in other filmmaking programs, you'll learn to become part of the film production process and capable of creating and integrating any digital elements required to tell the story.

Now and then
You'll come to Sheridan with artistic ability and experience using 3D software. We'll build on that foundation over a period of 10 months and teach you the tools and techniques to become a successful visual effects artist. We'll help you explore and realize your visions and find your path in the visual effects industry.

The Visual Effects program at Sheridan provides the industry's most comprehensive curriculum by leveraging the knowledge and facilities of our world-renowned Computer Animation and Advanced TV and Film programs. Our instructors bring years of industry experience and a passion for creating visual effects.

Gain first-hand experience in a wide range of disciplines, developing core skills that can help you advance to a more specialized performing arts school. This hands-on performing arts program offers an opportunity to:

• Improve your performing, auditioning and technical production skills.

The world of entertainment:-
You'll get to try your hand at acting, singing, dancing and comedy (standup and sketch). You'll also learn about the business aspects of the performing arts industry, forming an ad hoc production company with your classmates to stage a show at Theatre Erindale. Throughout both terms, you'll make field trips almost every week to see live concerts, plays and other professional performances.

Performing Arts – Preparation employs high-calibre faculty with the same excellent standards of instruction, most of whom have extensive professional experience in the industry. Graduates are encouraged to apply for further study at Sheridan or other institutions to develop their specific areas of interest.

Writing music for screen and stage today is about teamwork. In this program, you'll collaborate with your peers in our renowned arts programs and bring projects to life with music. You'll compose music for animation, video games and apps, film, TV and musical theatre. No other music composition program offers access to these arts programs or provides the broad skill set clients and employers want.

Broaden your skill set
Composing music for screen and stage means being able to take on multiple roles. In this program, you'll develop a broad skill set. You'll learn orchestration, recording, mixing and editing. Using the latest technology, you'll compose music for several of Sheridan's arts programs, and create a workplace-ready demo reel that showcases your ability to work in a variety of media.

Become the complete package
This program brings music and technology together. Many of our students have either a formal music background or technical experience, but not both. This graduate music certificate builds on your existing skill set, while bridging any gaps in experience you may have. You'll have classes in music composition, as well as the technical aspects of recording, mixing and sound design
