King’s business program offers five streams in general business, accounting, non-profit and social entrepreneurship, small business and entrepreneurship, and environmental management. The program is fully recognized and accredited by academic and industry organizations including Chartered Professional Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Management.

Cultivate your talents in performance, musicology, aural skills, and more. At King's, you will study the physical aspects of music—including theory and performance techniques—and its aesthetic qualities, as well as answer philosophical questions concerning its nature, origin, and development.

King's Music program guides you to a richer understanding of the role music plays in a well-lived life and engages in the beauty, drama, intellectual rigour, and healing power of western classical music. An equal emphasis is placed on classroom learning and private instrument instruction and you will find countless performance opportunities to hone your craft and do what you love—making music!

The Kinesiology minor provides a general introduction into the field of human health science. The program equips students with knowledge and skills pertaining to healthy living and movement. King's Kinesiology program focuses on sports, wellness, coaching, and teaching but is also useful for students who want to dig deeper into anatomy, physiology, and nutrition.

Go beyond the classroom by learning individual and team sports. Understand how to come alongside others to help them lead lives enriched by leisure and activity. In a health-conscious society abundant with misinformation about healthy living, it is important to have accurate facts about physical education and well-being.

Non-profits and voluntary organizations employ 12 percent of Canada’s workforce and contribute $75.9 billion to the nation’s economy. These numbers continue to grow as business approaches are being used to talk about social issues like poverty or the environment. This means there is an increasing demand for business graduates in this sector. Students who choose this stream could get jobs as government policy analysts or sustainability specialists.

English provides a foundation for reading, analysis, and self-expression. It's essential for accurate, precise communication in all walks of life. We are committed to a Christian worldview: if we want to transform the world, we have to begin by transforming the mind. English teaches you how to read circumstances and people, to place the stories of the day in the wider context of culture's greatest stories. It prepares you to read critically and write clearly with the precision of a scalpel and creativity of an artist.

Business, journalism, political service, public relations, teaching--English lays the foundation for jobs in both public and private sectors. As Percy Bysshe Shelley once argued, poets (and, may we add, English majors) are the "unacknowledged legislators of the world." In other words, stories have power.

Political science studies the governance of public communities. The program focuses on political institutions such as the state, executive, courts, and legislatures, and it examines the role of citizens, public officials, interest groups, and political parties within the political system as a whole.

King's Environmental Studies (ENVS) B.A. and B.Sc. programs prepare students to address sustainability issues with a broad knowledge of its ecological, social, and economic dimensions. In addition to course work, internships and field trips provide practical, hands-on skills and experiences. The program introduces students to principles and practices for building environmentally sustainable societies and lifestyles by examining the causes of environmental harm, and exploring theories, policies, techniques, and management approaches that support the restoration and flourishing of our planet. 

Through King’s ENVS programs, students develop skills such as mapping, geographical information systems (GIS), environmental impact assessment, policy analysis, statistical analysis, and strong oral and written communication. Both Environmental Studies programs are fully accredited by Eco Canada and equip graduates for future employment in this fast growing and dynamic sector.

Bachelor of Arts: for students interested in the social or human aspects of environmental issues, such as government policy, human behaviour, social change, sustainable business practices, and environmental communication. These interests can be pursued through sub concentrations in Business Administration, Economics and Politics, Sociology, and others.

The accounting stream prepares students to wield numbers and financial management to succeed in the world of business. This program is fully accredited by CPA Alberta meaning graduates can pursue their professional accounting designation upon graduation. The accounting stream is also perfect for students looking to pursue careers related to finances and money management outside of the accounting profession.

Open up the potential of your historical imagination. What might it have been like to live in London during the darkest days of World War II? How might the first years of European encounters with the First Peoples of North America have felt? Engage with incredible stories of how humans lived, fought, and thought in times and places very different from our own. 

History is a fantastic program for those who want to understand the depth and complexity of life. It provides students with a deeper understanding of modern day conflicts, ideas, and assumptions about the world. Through reading, research, and critical writing, students develop and refine their ability to think critically, creatively, and imaginatively. Graduates of the history program become more sensitive to the nature of cultural formation and are able to apply their understanding of the past to work and life.

• Carry out independent research using primary sources under the direct supervision of a faculty member.
• Specialize in thematic areas such as the Atlantic World, war and peace, environmental history, and the history of Christianity.
• Expose yourself to different ways of doing history including historical methods, historiography courses, and learning to ask deeper questions about why and how we study the past.
• Improve employable skills such as initiative, teamwork, and good communication.
• Develop your own viewpoints and to listen to others in small classes full of interaction and discussion.

Make a difference in the world by studying a variety of disciplines. The Social Science program will expose students to topics on human health, non-discriminatory economic systems, equitable public policy, various social structures, international relationships, human psychology, and more.

This flexible concentration is excellent preparation for careers in the human services sector, work for social justice agencies, and more. Many students are interested in more than one area of study and find it difficult to choose just one. The Social Science major allows students to adjust their program to areas that interest them most, drawn from economics, political science, sociology, psychology, geography, education, and history.
